The business owner, presumably, was stationed at the front of the store. I thanked him before we left and he just continued to stare. We did not appreciate it.

I also get stationary and art prints made by local artists that are hand painted with beautiful New Orleans motifs like bags of Zapps or New Orleans water meters painted in soft watercolor styles reminiscent of Warhol. My favorite locally poured candle and whipped shea butter with botanical and woody fragrances are from here. This has also just recently become my shop for small batch, artisanal wrapping paper printed with hand drawn New Orleans shotguns on it, Louisiana themed wooden Christmas ornaments, and holiday cards. They also have a really beautiful selection of thoughtful gifts and there hasn't been a time that I've stopped in that something reasonably priced was also on sale. I can't sing their praises enough!

I also got him a change purse, one of those cute sandwich plastic coin purses we all had as kids that says "candy money." I bought quite a few cards there and I got myself the line a day memory journal, which is the "One Line a Day," for 5 years. For ME. Everything about this store is curated so well. Not to mention that the store ITSELF is beautiful! I really need this woman to come and design a space for me. Because it was so beautiful, well curated. Asthetically pleasing, and inviting. I will be back if I'm in NOLA again. Otherwise PLEASE visit this adorable store!!

When I mentioned in the future about charging I was told, my boss has owned this shop 20 years so I'm not telling her how to run it. Really? As a customer for years and only suggestions, not appropriate response. So, instead of at least putting in a bag with their logo for advertising I had to buy a gift bag and they didn't get any recognition. Common sense should prevail.

My mom is the type of person hat thinks flowers are dumb cause they die within a week or two, but still loves to see and smell it. I decided to place an online order for delivery, a month in advance but they could only deliver 2 days after Mother's Day. I decided to order since my mom doesn't make a big deal out of late celebration deliveries, and also I have not been able to find a local florist that delivered in 70058 till I stumbled upon Simply Gorgeous Flowers. The day of delivery, the florist called me that she could not see my credit card number online - only the last four digits. She asked me to send it give it to her over the phone, but I felt uncomfortable with that idea. She told me she can send an invoice (via Quickbooks) and I just need to put the credit card number in and we should be ok. I felt much more comfortable with that idea and my flowers were delivered that day. My mom LOVED her flowers. The pricing was affordable and the flowers were great! The roses were blossomed and full at arrival and the lilies were going to be blossomed soon! This means the bouquet could last a couple weeks! She also noted that the flowers smelled better than the ones in the past, so this was a bonus! I will continue to order from Simply Gorgeous Flowers again in the future. Hopefully I can stop in one day when I'm back down visiting.
