I was delighted to find a Fly London here in Dublin. I've loved their shoes since I can remember and it's nice to have a dedicated shop to them bang on the city centre.
There's a small section towards the end of the store with men's shoes but the main focus is on women's shoes.
This is not your average boring footwear, but they didn't sacrifice comfort for style. These shoes are still perfect for the daily walk to work or to go out wearing something flattering and at the same time comfy and easy to walk in.
Most of the shoes have somewhat high wedge heels, though you can find some pumps and even flat shoes. Many of the heels itself are weird, with unexpected colours or shapes.
They're perfect if you're looking for something that is quirky but not too brash, some are colourful and bold while others simply have those tiny details in their design that make them look more interesting than other similar shoes.
I also like how they have a balanced collection on display - instead of going for just sandals and light footwear like you see in many other shops this time of the year (as if we were all living in some sort of tropical resort), they have a good choice of shoes suitable for the rainy and chilly weather that will surely be upon us on this Irish summer.
I just wish they were slightly less expensive and the service in store could definitely be improved, even though everyone was nice enough. When I went there the ATM was out of service which wasn't very nice either, especially with the prices they practice.
Little secret: Contrary to what the name may indicate, this brand is actually portuguese and not really from London. Anyway this is really good news, since a lot of quality shoes are actually produced in Portugal - start paying attention next time you go shopping for nice leather shoes and the like.
