Unfortunately, we never got to go on this tour. I should have read the bad reviews before booking with this tour operator. Just like several who wrote reviews, we booked this tour not knowing how awful the owner is. We booked a non-refundable ticket; no issue there. The website, tour rep, and confirmation email all state that if we can't fly because of weather, we can rebook for any time. We booked yesterday, AFTER speaking with a rep who assured us we would be able to fly. The rep was very confident, so we purchased. When we arrived, we were assured again that we could fly. We got on the van, signed the waiver, and then they canceled. It felt a bit sketchy because many other operators were flying, and I hadn't experienced this "Weather". All of that is fine! The major issue is that the rep, the website, and the cancellation email told us we could book any other available day. Naturally, we tried to book for the next day, or the following day, and of course, we couldn't. We checked the website, and BOTH days were available. Not only available, but there were 10 open seats. We contacted the owner and she was beyond rude. The owner admitted that there were slots available, but said we couldn't rebook for another day! Their policy specifically states we can rebook. In fact, they told us we could rebook whenever we wanted; that was the final reason we booked the ticket! She is a LIAR and very RUDE! I've attached screenshots of her saying we can't rebook, along with their cancellation policy, which specifically says we can book. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. read more

Since I usually leave reviews, I always check reviews out prior to chosing where i will be going. I went to Albuquerque for the international balloon Festival and was looking for a hot air balloon rides. I read the reviews for this company, but I also looked at reviews from other sites & ultimately decided to go with this company because I felt that some of these reviews did not reflect the services this company provides. I am so glad we did choose this company. I called them to let them know that I had booked everything for my stepfather, but that it was under my name and they said there was not a problem with that. I also asked if I could follow them to take pictures of him getting in the hot air, balloon, and taking off at which Brittany happily said yes to. When I called it said to text the phone number listed because nobody answered and as I was texting, I got a return phone call almost immediately Brittney was prompt and professional. One thing I've learned is a hot air balloon ride is not your typical type of service. Everything is based on safety, which I am extremely grateful that this company cared so much about safety. Everything depends on the wind as I experience with a balloon festival when none of the balloons were able to takeoff. Did it ruin my weekend,? No! I still enjoyed what I was able to with the festival, but I did learn that you have to have some type of flexibility and understanding that riding a hot air balloon & being able to experience it all depends on the weather and the mental state of your pilot. Both are extremely important. Unfortunately, the day before nobody was able to fly, so Brittany did accommodate those individuals and allow them to fly in the morning, which made it a little hectic. However, we totally understood because this is a bucket list dream for a lot of people and we're glad she was able to accommodate them as well the following morning. It did make it quite busy and a little hectic in organization for checking in however, this isn't your typical service. My stepdad truly enjoyed his experience and we highly recommend this company. One of the employees actually took pictures of everyone on their own phones of them in the basket, which was a nice touch. Then they did a celebration at the end with some champagne, orange juice, and water. Very nice touch & a memory my step dad will have for a lifetime! read more

They told us they couldn't fly for a 6 am flight due to winds but 6 balloons were in the air from another company. At least they did give us a refund but it kind of ruined the end of an otherwise wonderful trip. read more

Pathetic excuse for human beings. Pilot punched in sick and no one showed up from the tour. Received a text saying flight was cancelled, 15 minues before the flight. Received another with a number to call that "maybe" could accommodate us and a third saying money was refunded. Seriously? What about my flight, my hotel, my taxi and a crushed Bucket List dream? We paid close to $1k for 2 people during Balloon Fiesta to take off at sunrise. They loaded everyone else into balloons and forgot our group. We just stood there waiting for someone to tell us what's going on. when they realized their mistake, instead of canceling our flight, they decided to bring down a Balloon that already took off and switch us with those passengers. We lost half our air time. when we boarded, we were told that we couldn't fly much more than some feet above the ground because they used a lot of hot air to land the Balloon to kick out the initial passengers. our flight consisted of a flight right over a neighborhood and attempts to "kiss the ground" because we were so low. The company acknowledged their errors but stood firm with no refunds. They said we can come back for a real ride, but we paid extra to fly during the Balloon Fiesta and they refuse to even refund the difference in the pricing. They knew that they could not provide the service that morning, but they made sure not to cancel so they can charge us. Rip off company with the worst customer service. read more

Fly Albuquerque was an incredible way to start our stay in Albuquerque. We have never been to Albuquerque and came here to relocate here for a while. We heard that Albuquerque was the place to go for Hot Air Ballooning, and got quickly overwhelmed with the various options. But Fly Albuquerque stood out to us with their combination of experience and a new company. Our gut said GET IT. One of their packages was a great offer for a private ride (much less than the $$$$$ in Northern California). It was awesome! Our guide was fantastic - Justin with 30 years of experience. Booked a flight for my family and I. We were really looking forward to this flight as my family came in from out of town. We got to the site and found out the balloon we were going up in had a rip and wouldn't be able to fly. This was heartbreaking for my family. Everyone else on the trip was able to get their flight in but we were turned away and said we would get a refund. A week later now and I haven't been able to get a hold of anyone for our refund. I get that circumstances occurred and we weren't able to fly, but this is becoming extremely frustrating now. All I want is my refund. If I could give zero stars I would. Albuquerque may have bigger hot air balloon ride companies but FlyAlbuquerque by far is the best. Glenn was a knowledgeable and experienced pilot that made the flight extremely enjoyable. The ground-crew was exceptional and extremely polite and helpful. I'm glad I went thru Groupon regardless of the $6 savings because they easily refunded me without having to TRY to communicate with you guys. Had you called either me or my friend back during business hours when we had called I would not have contacted you after hours. When spending that kind of money I like to compare companies whether it's snacks or customer service. You had the right to not respond after hours, because you did I assumed it was OK. I learned about your crash landing after I had already gotten the refund and the person told me it's good I didn't go anyway, had I known that before hand I would not have even attempted to book. You do absolutely have the right to refuse customers but the way you did it was completely unprofessional. I in no way harassed anyone. Fly Albuquerque was a great experience from working with Patrick to getting us booked to receiving the confirmation and what to expect on balloon day from parking, meeting to the can ride to safety briefing. Had an amazing flight over Albuquerque at sunrise today. Crew was very friendly, knowledgeable, accommodating and professional. First hot air balloon ride for 4 of us and Brittany made us feel comfortable, safe, and in awe of floating over the terrain.
