A Christmas gift of a flight in a Spitfire simulator. What my partner didn't read was she was flying a Messerschmitt in a Battle of Britain dog fight. I must explain that this isn't a video game but a real simulation of flying each of these fantastic WWII machines. The power of each of these planes was explained by Captain Lowen with a description of the armaments and the controls. Then it was up to the two of us, with a little help, naturally. We never did shoot each other down because, trust me, it wasn't that easy. We both have total respect for the pilots, on both sides. A fantastic and enjoyable gift.
