I didn't fly myself, but a few of us chipped in and bought a friend an Introductory Flying Lesson for his birthday, and went along to watch him do it.
The staff and instructors were all friendly. They put our birthday boy at ease, gave him clear instructions, and took him out for a fly. He got to experience what being in a small plane was like, and got to briefly try his hand at the controls. We watched (safely) from the ground.
They offer a variety of intro courses, from short 30-minute lessons at just £49 up through several longer, more adventurous, more expensive options. Of course, they also offer proper flying courses for those who are looking to qualify.
A nice gift idea, and a fun day out. read more
