They have a nice lounge if you have a high level American Express card and they even have two types of beer on self serve tap. They also had wonderful bread and scrambled eggs and the white breakfast sausages that Germans eat. Everything went smoothly and it was a solid airport to start out 11 hour journey home.

Most of the staff is quite helpful. Con- parking, rental cars (sooo many garages), security is hardcore (which is good but they're sticklers for liquids, clear bags, etc), and security line! Pro-tip: if your ticket shows terminal 3, they're all connected! This is what I have for the time being but it lacks lounges and is pretty busy. Staff are friendly and welcoming. The big let down is the most unfriendly and often impertinent staff at the security gates. I think they forget that passengers are actually their customers and should be treated as such. Instead, they must think we are a crowd of kids. I travel a lot, and I have never come across anything like it, today was extremely offensive. As a suggestion, why don't you send a member or two of management as "mystery passengers"? To get the full experience, pretend you don't understand everything, just as it happened today next to me with an elderly gentleman. And the behaviour I experienced and witnessed had nothing to do with being busy. We are all busy in our jobs and travelling is often part of it. To risk loosing customers is self damaging and also affects colleagues and many other people. Perhaps a few simple training sessions help. In particular the crew on T2 from this morning (24th March around 9.30 am) would definitely benefit from an imminent session. Unbelievably rude, unhelpful and unfriendly.

Big advantage: extremely quick to pass through. Be aware: the airport is in Switzerland and if you come from Bregenz you should be prepared for Swiss immigration control. The airport has some amenities inside, washroom, sitting area. It's just a relaxing place to be because it's under serviced. Taking the public bus from the train station at 6am- it was sardines, perhaps additional buses could help with the traffic volume as some people take the airport bus to go to places too? The security line was simple- and long being that there wasn't much traffic. There is a tax free receipt box but I didn't spend $75 at a single business- it was a collection of multiple businesses so apparently I was not eligible for the tax refund? There were employees handing out individually packed wafers in the airport I guess to bolster review and respond for marketing the airport- but I was briefly stopping in- so I don't think I could comment on that. There was a lounge but not accessible through my credit card lounge network.
