This is a lovely hotel set in the residential area of a small coastal village. The hotel itself is…read morefairly large at three stories and it extends into an L-shape. This is an older building that has been completely redone. Inside you will find a blend of classical Danish with modern Danish. The hallways reflect a garden motif and the rooms are very modern with a modern bathroom. Everything worked perfectly in our room and bathroom.
The breakfast is served family style at long tables. You select what you want from a menu that is printed in Danish on one side and English on the other. Breakfast consists of cheeses, bread, meats, soft boiled eggs, fruit, coffee and tea. Our hostess was fluent in English as well as Danish and possibly other languages. We thought breakfast was excellent.
The village is very small and you can walk to restaurants and shops in 5-10 minutes. There are a limited number of dinner restaurants and the hotel also offers a fixed menu dinner every evening if you don't want to brave the Danish weather. We ended up at Hansen's and had a wonderful intimate dinner. We thought this experience was excellent and would definitely return to this hotel.
