Floyd has been a Godsend to our family. We reached out to Floyd when my mother began considering selling her preschool. The preschool was built by my dad in 2001. In the summer of 2016, I had the good fortune of being contacted by Floyd Shaheen, the founder and leader of what is today The Floyd Group. At the time, I had a mixed-use commercial property in Los Angeles that I was considering selling; i.e., was it the right time to take out the equity and get into a 1031 exchange in another State? I first began talking with Floyd when he contacted me a few years before we were ready to sell my commercial building in Inglewood, CA. He stayed in touch, giving me market updates, and respectfully offering his services when we were ready to sell. My siblings and I decided it was time to sell in early 2021 and I contacted several commercial brokers, including Floyd. While all were anxious to represent us (naturally), Floyd was the only one who insisted on meeting me in person to discuss the sale. We met the next day.
