Yes, there were a lot of awesome figures and statues to see that bring back some nostalgia to when I was kid. However, a lot of the toys both in package, on card, or loose were a bit overpriced. Some figures had horrible sun damage to them seeing as this location is in a warehouse type building. The lady behind the counter wasn't helpful as we walked in and around the front in for about 10-15 minutes before she even said hi. After that she just walked around putting things away and sat behind the counter. Now what's upsetting? My girlfriend found this 3-pack of Shattered Glass Transformers (Evil Dinobots) from SDCC. I clearly asked if I could open them and she said they were new. I didn't like that answer and how snappy she was with me. I kept them in the box until I got my new display case and Lord behold, they're all broken. All 3 figures wastes are popped off and will not plug into the bodies or stay in place, Grimlock's dino head is snapped, the plus to keep Slag's dino head on its body are broken, and some of Snarl's scales are broken. There's no point in keeping them. And I would feel bad, like the owner should feel, if I were to try and sell them off broken to anyone else.

The place looks like it's located within a residential home so it threw me off at first. But there's a sign at the front. The folks here are very friendly and they're very knowledgeable. In terms of value, it's hard to say only because there are a lot of items that are highly collectible in addition to your run of the mill, newer IP's. In my opinion, I feel like the prices are pretty fair, especially since they may have some hard to find pieces that collectors are looking for. I came here with my nephew before we had dinner in the area. He's a big fan of anime and manga and especially things related to Godzilla. He ended up buying a figure. Just a really cool store in a very unexpected non-descript place.

This is by far my favorite place to go to for board games. I'm relatively new to the board game…read morescene but this place is nice because it has a good variety of games, including cozy ones, kid games and intense strategic ones. And did I mention that the other half of the store sells comics? They even have a shelf for local artists' zines! Love seeing businesses support local artists! Their prices are fair and comparable to other board game stores like Games of Berkeley and Black Diamond Games. I also like that this is just a store, not a place to play games at. Sometimes I get intimidated walking by people playing at tables. There's a parking lot around the back that belongs to the grocery store, I think. Or street parking. The people who work here are super friendly too! Very helpful but you won't feel like they're watching your every move.

A welcoming, affordable, and cool comic store like this is such a rare gem these days!…read more I'm so glad to be able to stop in occasionally for a new $1 comic, children's book, or rare music inspired comics anthology like I have lately. The staff have always been pleasant to speak with and knowledgable. If you're looking for a new comic and on a budget, there are rows of $1 comic boxes to look through. I've found some out of Marvel. And local creator ones too. If you're looking for a surprise gift for your four year old nephew, there are several sections of the store offering a variety of children's books. And if you're nostalgic for the nineties sometimes, you could find some music inspired graphics catching your eye. For any level of comic or graphic novel enthusiast, Dr Comics & Mr Games is a definite go to.
