Instead, the majority of the flowers were carnations and sea lavender, along with a substantial amount of greenery. My understanding is that any substitutions should be of comparable value and maintain the overall look and feel of the original arrangement, which was not the case here. We arrived into town Monday night from Florida and placed the order the next morning around 9am with a pick up time 11:30 am the same day. We got a phone call immediately and they said they don't have the exact flowers on the picture because it is such short notice but have similar ones with same colors and of course we totally understood the situation. The floral arrangement was nowhere near what was pictured on the website. I called on Monday to inquire about a photo being sent to me of the finished product. The lady explained that they had too many issues with doing that so they no longer provided that. She did ask me what I was looking to order and I shared with her, and she said they did have products necessary to make the arrangement that I chose. I ordered online and the recipient sent me a photo of an almost unrecognizable floral arrangement. I ordered something called "arrive in style" that was a beautiful mostly white arrangement with some pink roses. It appears nearly all of the white was replaced with greenery. Such a disappointment. I even paid for deluxe. I usually check Yelp first but this time unfortunately I relied on the high stars on google. Now coming to yelp I do see similar reviews as mine and if I had seen them before, I definitely would not have ordered. I did my best to support a local business instead of ordering through 1800 flowers and I am utterly disappointed. read more

I thought I'd found a florist I could depend on, but I was wrong, and I'm disappointed. I ordered a deluxe arrangement of flowers. The day before the delivery an employee called to tell me that they weren't going to be able to get in the orange roses that were supposed to be in my arrangement. I asked her to substitute with pink or yellow roses. When a family member saw the arrangement she said it was pretty but that it only had one rose in it. The arrangement I ordered (photo attached) has four large roses and four to five mini-roses. I am not happy when I don't get what I pay for. I don't know why so many florists think that they can just send whatever when a customer orders a specific arrangement online. It's really unacceptable. read more

I would avoid this florist, after two Valentine's Day in a row the flowers I ordered for my wife have been messed up. I order them through Billy's online website and when my wife received the flowers they look nothing like it like they are supposed be. Called Billy and was given a bunch of excuses just like last year. Billy got upset said he doesn't know what he supposed to do, but he'll come get them and try to fix it but he doesn't know what he can do. The flowers are suppose to be Peach roses, light pink spray roses, pink asiatic lilies and light pink carnations are arranged with spiral eucalyptus, pitta negra and dusty miller, but there are purple daisies in them. We also didn't get the correct vase either. this is a real disappointment and others should avoid this place, so they do not have the same disappointment as we did. read more

Flowers broke when I got it to my girlfriend for our anniversary we call and they said bring them we will make it right. We got there Billy we think was so rude and ill about it and start raising his voice toward my girlfriend and argue that I did something when I didn't no excuse to treat her that way to make her walk out. Initially, I was pretty impressed by the detailed website and choices offered at Flowers by Billy. I moved away from NC a few years ago but my parents still live there so I thought I'd give a local place some business by ordering a Mother's Day arrangement from here. Big mistake. Not only did they void my order that day "because there were too many orders", they didn't even inform me that they did it - I had to call them myself the day after the delivery date to find out that they had canceled the order! Multiple calls on the delivery day to check on status were not answered. Their inconsiderateness gave me no time to make other arrangements and now my mother will receive her flowers three days late (hope ProFlowers is better than this place!). Not only that, the woman I spoke with begrudgingly apologized, only after I explained why it sucks that my mother wasn't getting her flowers. Ever heard of customer service lady? Clearly, they are very picky about the customers they choose to service. My advice, unless you plan on picking it up yourself and/ or calling to confirm orders, don't bother. Today was a very sad and important day for me..My Grandmother passed away and I wanted to say goodbye in a special way since there was no way I could make the funeral. I looked up local florist and was very impressed by the arrangements on Flowers by Billy's website..when my sister sent me a picture of the flower we ordered, my heart sank...I wanted to cry..it looked nothing like the picture. In the picture there were emerald palms red ti leaves..red gladiola...None of these were placed in this arrangement...Suzanne informed me that they had no red gladiola so I said please replace those with red roses...instead white gladiola were used in place of the red ones and the other flowers were not arranged according to the picture just randomly placed..so anew sunrise color arrangement was just a spray of random flowers...the only flower that was the same in the picture was the orange lily in which they were randomly placed about and not in a cluster like the picture...I am so disappointed...this is False advertisement...at least try to make it look like the picture...again, I'm in Texas and trusted this flower shop to deliver what we paid for....we won't ever have this moment again..and it was disappointing...I'm very sorry that I chose this flower shop. read more

I placed an order for flowers for my grandmother's 85th birthday. My credit card was charged and I received an email confirming delivery for the following day. My grandmother's birthday came & went without my flowers. I was thoroughly disappointed. I called the florist but they had departed for the day. The following day when I reached the florist, I was first told that I was wrong. The delivery date was the day after. I provided the confirmation and after a "second check" I was told the florist was working on my order now and they would be delivering shortly. There was no apology and the lady on the phone didn't seemed troubled that my flowers had not arrived as I ordered or by the florist's error. I replied it was one thing to make a mistake, but it is entirely different to be arrogant about it. I asked that the order be cancelled and my card credited. I was told "All I can do is reverse the charge" and without saying a word, the florist hung up on me. I will NEVER again use Flowers by Billy. Potential customers BEWARE!!! read more
