We stopped by the flower shop because my son's going on a date tonight and wanted to make sure he didn't have to drive all over town to get some decent flowers. We usually go to the store and I put together the bouquet. Let me start by saying the lady was very helpful but I can tell she was busy so it's understandable. We just walked in and picked out some flowers for $30. She threw them together and we took them home. I love going to flower shops and sometimes you find those people that are willing to go the extra mile. We definitely got in and out, but we were not extremely happy about the presentation. My son looked at me and was like I know you're gonna fix the fix those right, mom? I told him you already know what I was thinking. I'm impressed. This florist is amazing! I'm announcing I'm officially a loyal fan. Most of the flowers I've received throughout the years from various florists arrive looking beautiful, as expected. But after a few days, and often within a day or two, they begin to droop and fade in spite of my watering diligence. Unfortunately most florists don't know "Beginner Florist 101". Or if they do, they don't bother with this added chore: Before adding flower stems to an arrangement, the stem should be cut again, about an inch above the previous cut, while holding it under lukewarm water. This prevents a dry gap above the cut mark, so the stem will continue to absorb water and therefore last longer. If not done, the stem can't absorb water because there is a gap of air between the cut mark and the part of the plant that "drinks". When I cut flowers from my garden to add to an arrangement, I always partly fill my sink with lukewarm water and cut each stem again underwater before adding it to the water filled vase. After doing this, I often enjoy my cut garden flowers for ten days or more. You will know when your florist does this, as the subject of this review likely has done. Because most of their arrangements will look great for several days, and more often, for more than a week or more. And if you are fortunate enough to receive an arrangement filled with buds about to bloom, they might look as beautiful as mine do in the photo I'm posting five days after they arrived. Brenda is an amazingly creative/talented florist. I went into her flower shop with a request for a flower arrangement that integrated a large picture of my husband (this was for his funeral). I shared with her that he was an avid fisherman, and requested the influence of a natural nature type arrangement. I even brought in a few fishing lures to incorporate in her design. Oh boy!! she did not disappoint, it was beautifully unique, and there were so many compliments Her prices extremely reasonable. She will be my forever go to florist!!!!! I ordered a "designer" arrangement for my mother. It was $85.00 plus delivery. I added special instructions that I only wanted Carnations & Gerber Daisies, which are her favorite flowers. When she received them, there was 1 Gerber Daisy, 3 Roses, some other flower and green filler. It looks like a bad funeral arrangement. I called the shop and they were quick to fix the issue or so I thought. I just got a text from my mom, they delievered her replacement flowers. A total of 15 flowers and the rest was green plant filler, that is $5.66666666 per flower. This is completely my fault, I should have researched more. I just found 1-800 Flowers had a 24 stem Gerber Daisie arrangement for only $44.99. Shame on me for wanting to buy local. read more

I am not always the best at planning ahead for special occasions and my recent visit to Flowerama On Pacific was another example of my last minute planning. However, the friendly and helpful service I received at Flowerama when I stopped in on the morning of a special date night with my wife made my surprise of jewelry, candy, and a beautiful flower arrangement a shining success and another great memory with the woman I love. I gave the employees at Flowerama a description of what my wife likes and only a couple of hours later I returned to pick up a gorgeous arrangement of colorful flowers. I had a terrible experience with the owner who does the wedding orders. My daughters wedding was cancelled and we wanted a refund on our order. We were told no problem the check is in the mail. So we waited nothing came. Called her back and she said the check was in the mail. Still nothing. 2 weeks go by and nothing. Finally i had to go to the store and demand my money back. I used Flowerama a year ago to fill balloons for a party. They came in early on a Sunday to have the order ready right at noon; the balloons stayed aloft well into the evening. They came with ribbon attached and in a bag for easy transportation. Last week, I had them do the same for another party and also ordered a table centerpiece for the cake table and a corsage for the guest of honor. They came in early again to have everything ready at noon, and again everything was pre-packaged for easy transportation. The centerpiece was tightly filled and attractive and the corsage was simple, elegant and just the right shape and size to be pinned on a sweater without pulling the sweater out of shape.
