I love shopping with local florists rather than taking the fast route and going through one of those 1800 companies (no shade...just preference). That "mom and pop" family feel make the experience a lot more desirable. Sue and Michelle took the time to listen to my hopes for a nice sympathy bouquet. They checked with their supplier to find out whether the specific flowers I requested were available, and then called me back to let me know they could fulfill the order and within the budget I requested. Once again!!! I switched to ordering flowers for my wife from FTD to this local company. FTD is great for things I need to do that are not local, however I wanted to find a source for a more customized experience. This company really fits the bill. 3 times now since Oct I have used them for special occasions and they get 5 stars+ each time. I have called and ordered something specific and asked for advice and they nailed it. I have also just ordered online to see if I get the same treatment and on Valentines Day they nailed it again. This morning I got a call from Em telling me that the delivery address I had provided was incorrect. She was so gracious and helpful and assured me that the arrangement was ready to be delivered as soon as they got the correct address. It is always hard when you are out of state to find a florist that is reliable , friendly, and does what you ask. ((This is a privately-owned florist, something I always look for since I have had trouble with the national ones that advertise things like 'local florist delivery'.... but in spite of the tricky wording, they are not a local florist.)) My family all complimented the flowers, but I was not happy since they were not what was shown on line...similar but not same. I was unable to ever reach anyone to get help with the flowers). I called Flower Fashions and spoke with Michelle and explained what I was looking for to send to a medical facility. She listened and offered suggestions. A visitor to my friend said they were beautiful! I especially needed something long lasting. I ordered at the end of September and was told yesterday by a visitor to my friend's room that they were about done. That is amazing! Two weeks!! She clearly picked flowers that would last, as requested. My 99-year old friend is unable to talk on the phone right now, so having something present with her is my way to let her know she is being thought about. I called Flower Fashions again today and Michelle was able to pull up my previous order, asked if I wanted the same kind of thing again? She suggested fall colors for a change from the last bright-colored arrangement (a perfect suggestion) and placing the order was fast, friendly, and super efficient. This is a top-notch florist. I recently had to arrange for flowers to be delivered to my brother's funeral in Libertytown, Maryland, 50 miles from my home. I was doing this for myself and four other siblings. After finding an arrangement that I liked from an online florist advertising nationwide delivery (one I had used before) I was told they could not deliver those flowers to Libertytown. I then searched on florists servicing Libertytown, and came across Flower Fashions Inc (in Frederick, MD). I read the reviews and it sounded like they were just what I was looking for. I needed flowers to be delivered to a church in Libertytown that I was unfamiliar with and I needed them to be delivered by 9:30 AM on a Saturday. I talked with Michelle who was very helpful and very reassuring. She knew the church and the location and assured me the flowers would be delivered correctly on time. She said she would coordinate directly with the church and the funeral home. Bottom line--the flowers were delivered on time, to the right spot, and they were beautiful. This church had several buildings and lots of doors and it took me a while when I arrived at 9:30 to find the place where I was supposed to be--when I did I found the flowers were already in place! Great reliable, friendly, service at a reasonable price. What more could you ask for from any business. read more
