The Slum Lords at the armories were absolutely horrible. I spent around $4,000 on a firearm and…read moreaccessories, and I was told I would have to wait three weeks just to have a muzzle brake installed. This is a job that should only take a few minutes. Even though I was physically in the shop, I was left waiting for hours before anyone even acknowledged me. On top of the poor customer service, their prices are extremely high compared to other retailers. I was also pressured to purchase additional items that I apparently didn't need. When I went to another gun shop, they questioned why the Slum Lords had told me I needed those items in the first place.Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend comparing prices and getting a second opinion before purchasing anything here. I personally felt overcharged and taken advantage of, and I will not be returning.

I ended up filing a BBB complaint. BAT (Eric the owner) immediately responded by denying that I…read moreever contacted them in the first place (lies) and that I should have inspected the shotgun prior to purchasing it (disregarding the fact that I purchased it online and it was sent to my local FFL, so the purchase wasn't done in-person). We went back and forth on BBB to no avail. RTSP finally got in touch with someone (not Eric) from their organization, who would then send out the replacement sight. No manual was sent as they no longer provide them with their guns (smh that's a first)! Eric (owner) then had the audacity to make it seem like he had resolved the issue on BBB (after the sight was already sent out thanks to RTSP complaining to BAT's distributor sales rep). This took 7 weeks to get resolved. I stand my ground that BAT is not worth the aggrevation and that you should look at other makes for future purchases. They clearly try to not honor the "lifetime warranty" on their products by avoiding you altogether, and have ongoing quality control and customer service issues. You can find similar complaints on BBB (they have an "F" rating), their own social media pages (comments), and any gun forums in general that support this!

I was going to ask Lord of War to help me manage a transaction via Armslist and he quoted me a very reasonable price for the transaction, then sent me this note: "I am going to be candid with you I have heard of way to many issues buying secondhand firearms other than in person. More often than not things are stolen/broken, not as described and the round count the owner either doesn't know or will completely lie about, personally I wouldn't do it. Just my 2 cents." Gotta love honest business owners that look out for their customers first, even before their customers pay (or ever meet) them!

I usually stop in to Academy to change up my gym attire; they usually have just what I'm looking…read morefor at a reasonable price. This time around I needed a new belt. I found this 'Groove Belt,' which is pretty much a game changer for me. It has a magnetic buckle that has two heavy duty hooks built in to keep it from coming undone unless you intend to unbuckle it, the belt is also 'one size fits most' so you can adjust it to almost any size waist. You can choose to leave the slack intact so that it infinitely adjustable for as long as you own the belt or you can cut some of the slack if its bothersome. The belt even stretches with you when you bend over to work so it never feels uncomfortable when keeping it somewhat taunt when my shirt is tucked in for the workplace; like I said, a complete game changer for me. We stopped in the Saturday after Thanksgiving and they still had a great deal on the belt. It normally costs $60 but was marked down to $39, I probably should have bought two of these things but I wanted to see how long it lasts in my work environment, only time will tell. Since we were there shopping, we noticed they had great deals going on for BCG training attire and all Magellan clothing. I purchased several pairs of BCG shorts and workout pants and one Magellan top at 50% off which was a great deal. Staff here have always been super friendly and helpful and the store is kept immaculate. I highly recommend stopping in to check them out if you're in the area.
