Letter sent to Florida Red Line Shuttle with NO REPONSE..... We have called multiple times and have been told, repeatedly, that we need to submit a written request for our complaint (which we did). Therefore, this is our second email request for a response and a full refund for our recent fiasco of a trip booked with your company. We are requesting the $100 ($50 each) be reimbursed to us for our inconveniences. We are extremely disappointed in the service we received on our recent trip from Miami and expect a prompt response. Contrary to the many negative reviews online regarding your company, your services came highly recommended by our travel agent. Thus, we booked our round trip to Port of Miami through Red Line Shuttle. I can only hope the travel agent will change their stance going forward once we have notified them of the ridiculous circumstances and lack of communication we had to endure. The service (or lack thereof) was deplorable, at best. The conditions were unbearable and the lack of communication, both at time of service and since have been a completely unacceptable way to do business. On Saturday, May 18th, we were booked for our return trip from Miami Port to Brandon. The van that picked us up was beyond disappointing. Despite the need of a thorough cleaning, the air conditioning was not functioning and there was no communication from the driver regarding the inconvenience. Shortly after making a drop-off and pick-up, we made an additional stop, apparently for the driver to get lunch (which he later ate as he was driving at excessive speeds down the interstate). A subsequent stop was made less than an hour later for gasoline. At neither of these stops did we pick-up, nor drop-off, passengers. Why wasn't that handled at the first stop? We witnessed speeds in excess of 80 mph for the majority of the trip. The driver was often tailgating and weaving in and out of traffic, all while eating and/or checking his phone at those speeds. Lastly, the van broke down approximately 40 miles from our destination (possible broken wheel bearing). So, in the FL heat, we are not only in a vehicle that has NO air conditioning, we are now sitting on the side of the road, stranded. I believe the driver called for a backup, but that wasn't conveyed to us for at least 10 minutes. In the meantime, we had contacted someone to come pick us up. We figured it would be quicker since they weren't very far, not to mention safer and MUCH more comfortable than what we had been subject to for the past 3-4 hours. A second driver showed up, but we weren't taking any chances with the replacement and waited the additional 5-10 minutes for our own ride home. We feel the lack of communication and deplorable conditions warrant a full refund ($100) for our disastrous trip. As I stated, we have called numerous times and no one wants to assist and/or listen to us. They simply continue to state that we need to send an email. We did and still haven't heard back. This is our final attempt to handle this nicely and allow your company to make amends for such a reprehensible experience. So I had 11 people in my party going to the port of miami we left April 21st we came to the pickup location early because I wanted to be there before the shuttle but to my surprise the driver was already waiting for us which was great. Then we came back today and we got off the ship early so I'm thinking to myself I really don't feel like waiting an hour for the shuttle plus my mother has a walker and I didn't want her waiting either and again to my surprise the driver was out there early and it made my day. This was a great experience I have no complaints the driver was helpful and got us there and back safe. We bought a ticket in advance for a pickup at Port Everglades in Ft. Lauderdale, FL in October 2018 and the driver was a NO SHOW. We were left stranded and had to arrange for our own transportation home. We called the company numerous times that day and they NEVER called us back. Allegedly the driver got sick, but the company NEVER called to notify us, nor did they lift a finger to provide alternate transportation. Also, we had to pay a taxi $15 to get us from Port Everglades to Ft. Lauderdale airport for return transportation. I tried repeatedly to contact the company for a refund of the $15 and they NEVER contacted me. I then submitted a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. The company agreed to refund the $15 but they NEVER paid it despite repeated contact by the Better Business Bureau! I do not recommend Florida Red Line as they are unreliable and not trustworthy! read more

DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. I paid for a "bus" ticket from Sarasota to Orlando. I followed the very vague instructions to meet at the McDonald's for pick up and I arrived 30 minutes early keeping my eyes pealed for a grey or white van with the red stripe and "Florida red line" logo. However the van matching the description never came. I waited just inside the McDonald's and my grandmother waited in the car in the parking lot. I called the reservation office asking about the ride and I was met with rude and condescending customer service. She was not cooperative and told me the driver would not turn around to pick me up. She instructed me to call back after 5 pm to speak with the manager, however I was directed to a voicemail and my phone call was never returned. This transportation was to my flight in Orlando to participate in a wilderness first responder course in San Diego. This disorganization and poor over all quality of a business nearly costed me over $1200. I used grey hound to transport me and luckily made my flight in time. I was never refunded my $50. I would not recommend Florida Red alone to anyone; absolutely stressful and terrible experience. read more

My mother bought a ticket in advance for a 3pm pickup in Tampa and the vehicle never showed up. She was stranded at a McDonald's for two hours. On top of that, the company never contacted her. She called and emailed the company while she waited and they never picked up the phone or returned her email. This company is garbage. Never use them. read more

First and last time with Florida Red Line! The only good thing about my trip was that it left on time. I didn't know it was a VAN, I felt like I was about to sneak out of the country illegally. Because it was the most expensive ticket from my online options, ($50) I thought I will be in a big bus with WiFi and a restroom inside. I was so crowded and for the entire trip I was squished by the passenger next to me. Very uncomfortable! The driver was extremely rude to ALL the passengers when they were asking about the stops. One gentleman asked if we would stop to use restroom and the driver said that the stops are ONLY for pick up/drop off. (We did made a stop later for the restroom, eventually).He refused to give information about the next stop when another gentleman asked about it. During the trip, everybody was pissed bc the driver took DETOURS and the bus arrived to our destination more than ONE HOUR LATE. Truth is that it was raining heavily in Tampa area, I understand but the detours happened in Miami area where the weather was sunny. The bus left at 6:12 instead of 6:30 and we still arrived at 1PM. I didn't know that from Tampa, we would go to St Petersburg, I was informed while we were crossing the bridge. One passenger kept asking questions about why the detours and the driver completely lost it using foul language like "fuck you, get out of my "bus", stupid". The passenger got off in Fort Lauderdale very angry for receiving such treatment and decided to take an UBER instead of continuing the trip. His destination was in PORT Miami. One couple entered the bus in Fort Lauderdale area with Sarasota destination. They were told the bus will take the North route and instead, headed for port Miami (cruises) and of course another detour. Bc the bus was so late, so did the couple had to wait an hour for the bus. I don't know how the detours work, but instead of stoping at Bayside first, driver passed it and went on to the cruises and THEN to bayside. We were more than an hour late. I don't know why, but we were told our next stop will be in port Miami and for some misterious reason, we visited the airport in Fort Lauderdale where nobody got it and nobody got out. I guess it was for sightseeing. One guy asked why, and the driver refused to answer! He, then, said that he knows why he did that, leaving the rest of us just guessing. Never in my life I will take this FLORIDA RED SHITTY LINE company and I don't understand why it's so expensive for such nasty conditions and such tense atmosphere with such an angry driver. He tried to apologise later for the scandal blaming the guy who got off and decided to take an Uber, but the driver was very irritated from the beginning,since we started our trip. I think he is doing this job for far too long and he's sick and tired of it. He should find something else which doesn't involve interacting with people who are going to cruises and just want to have a nice vacation. Why a VAN btw? I wouldn't even pay $5 for this trip, let alone $50! For WHAT? I was afraid to even ask the driver questions about the trip bc he seemed like he would snap at any time! He was nice enough to let me charge my phone though! He seemed to be more relaxed when we arrived and bayside and apologised for the show but STILL!!! Don't use this company!!!! read more

The website sold me a $50 ticket for a bus from Ybor City, Tampa to Naples FL, on a Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. There is NO 3:00 p.m. bus on Tuesdays - only on weekends. It took me a week of phone calls to get my refund. Do they care that their website is faulty? A friend told me that she took the Redline to Orlando for a conference, and the return bus, scheduled for later in the day, never showed up. She ended up staying at a hotel till she got a bus the next day. It took a lot of haggling to get the company to pay the hotel bill. Apparently, if the bus (really a van) is not full, the drivers just cancel. Nice! Strand your customers and let them beg for reimbursement! read more

I had been stranded in Miami by another shuttle service to Fort Myers. I called Red Line and was treated with helpfulness and kindness at every step. Dwight, the driver arrived in an efficient and spacious van. He even came into my hotel looking for me. He was concerned because I had a valuable musical instrument with me and suggested a good place for it inside the van. I arrived at my destination at the time he had predicted. I definitely will use Red Line Shuttle again! read more

we had a terrible experience with this company!!!! I would not recommend them. They called to confirm our ride from Ft. Myers to Miami for a cruise on the wrong day, we told them we needed a ride the following sunday. They confirmed the change in date during this phone call but we we called the company back that same day to reconfirm the date change they said" no problem all set". The night before our cruise we called again to confirm and they said,no we can't pick you up the bus is full and we won't give you a refund because you were a no show the previous week. I was shocked !!! the person we spoke to was very rude and unprofessional. Pretty much said to bad and hung up on us. Luckily we were able to get a greyhound bus to Miami and took a taxi to the port. Had we not called the night before to confirm we would have shown up for the shuttle and missed our cruise which cost us over $2500.00 I would never use this service again read more

DO NOT USE FLORIDA RED LINE. I purchased a $45 ticket on-line through BusBud to travel from Miami to Sarasota, FL at 12 noon on 01/30/2016 I arrived at the pick-up area at the Bayfront Plaza at 11:30 AM. Although Florida Red Line says they were there for other passengers and waited until noon, I never saw a vehicle saying Florida Red Line. The confirmation from BusBud said that the buses are sometimes late due to bad weather or heavy traffic, so I waited until 12:15 to call the Florida Red Line. The "customer service" staff very rudely said that the bus had been there, did not see me (although I was the only one standing there with a big suitcase), and so they left. No other bus was available. I had to take a $30 taxi to the Miami Airport and rent a car at $125 for the day and drive myself to Sarasota. I made three to four subsequent phone calls to Florida Red Line to request a refund of the $45 ticket. Although I was both professional and polite in my requests, I was rudely rebuffed each time and Florida Red Line refused to make the refund. In conclusion, Florida Red Line's service is substandard in every respect. When I told the Florida Red Line representative that they could expect a negative review from me, the agent said he didn't care and that "people do it all the time".
