There's one part with 2 ladies and a man. One of the women is a bit late. Also the clucking sound of the ballet shoes is distracting. It's not bothersome when it's in sync with the music. Also, it would have been nice to differentiate the primary ballerina with a different costume as she's just look like the rest of the ballerinas. In sum I just got bored.

I am not really knowledgeable when it comes to ballet; however it sounded intriguing since there aren't many holiday parties or events happening this year. There were 14 scheduled performances beginning on December 18th and ending on December 31st. (The first performance was free for first responders.). We were lucky enough to attend the first Saturday night performance and had the most perfect chilly Miami weather! (All performances sold out well in advance.). The venue was beautiful Doral Park & the tickets were sold as "pods" for 4 people so that everyone would be socially distanced. Each pod was outlined with paint in the grass & 4 guests are allowed inside each pod. There were pods for ground seating, (bring your own blanket,) and pods with chairs. (Chairs included). We had a pod about 3/4 of the way back, (Row Q,) And there was plenty of room to spread our chairs out how we wanted for a clear view. The park was lit up beautifully with a variety of colored lights and there were port-a-potties along the side since the venue was outside. Free parking was also included. The show had a beautiful mix of a large animated screen displays between scenes and of course amazingly talented ballet dancers in elaborate, gorgeous costumes. I was blown away by the beauty and intricacy of the entire production and of course it also had the enchanting score by Tchaikovsky. Marie, the Sugarplum Fairy, and all the other dancers did an incredible job! Our tickets were approximately $35 each; and it was well worth the price paid! I hadn't seen The Nutcracker performed in more than 10 years, however I might be making a trip to see the Miami City Ballet's performance an annual event!

The two Roman pillars don't feel intimidating at all, they actually guide you into the experience, welcoming you into a lobby filled with posters of acclaimed and classic films that instantly set the tone You're then greeted by an incredible team, Conny and Mary, who truly feel like part of the show. From freshly popped warm popcorn to a variety of seasonings like BBQ, garlic parmesan, and caramel sea salt (yes, you'll want to try them all ), the concessions feel like a nostalgic treat. They've got all the classics, M&M's, Crunch, and even elevated options like crystallized almonds and cashews. Plus, sodas and even local beers? A perfect lineup Conny and Mary are always smiling, clearly enjoying what they do, and it shows. After the movie, I noticed the theater unfortunately left messy by some attendees, but they handled it with grace and never missed a beat. That level of care doesn't go unnoticed The programming is another highlight. You can always count on a curated selection, old-school classics, Sundance-worthy films, and international gems from Latin America, Europe, and Asia. It's something you don't easily find elsewhere in Miami, making this place truly special It's also a fantastic spot for seniors or international audiences who prefer films in their native language. Personally, I'm a huge fan of their European selection Thank you, Mary and Conny, for making it so memorable. To all cinephiles: this is where you come to experience film the way it was meant to be seen: pure, artistic, and immersive

Yes, we have touring companies but we need something more permanent bringing top talent to Miami. If you're wondering what's inspiring this sudden demand for more shows, blame In The Heights. In The Heights was splendid. What a wonderful musical to bring to Miami. It's such a warm, positive story and of course all the Latin backgrounds, accents, slang, and spanglish fit in perfectly to our city. The music and songs were so much fun. I actually wanted to get up and dance at certain points, this show was bursting with energy and I'd love to see them come back for a longer run. As for the storyline, it was rather honest. I think most of the audience identified with the sacrifices parents are willing to make to support their children's future. And the idea of a neighborhood or rather a community becoming a family of sorts, is one I'm sure many can relate to.

That's really the key to a long relationship-seeing each other on a regular basis, doing things that are fun and different outside of the house, consistent quality time without work interruptions. Making this a priority - is important. All of you out there "newlyweds" trust me it makes a difference. So we went to the Colony theater on Lincoln Road. It was a cool night -perfect for a cocktail, relaxing and easy.. no hurry just taking in the sights and sounds. Latin music playing in the background, smell of perfume and spices in the air- outdoor cafes with with the warmth of flame lamps lighting the cool air. Breezing into the theater the sweet girl at the door greeted us with a huge smile and scanned our tickets. I fell in love with the play " Anna in the Tropics" this extraordinary play written by the Pulitzer Prize winner Nilo Cruz-playwright and director -is a work of art! It demonstrates the power of literature to move and inspire you. One of my favorite books, Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy, is central to this play. I thoroughly enjoyed the powerful images presented in this masterpiece. Art and literature came together in an extraordinary and impactful way. It is a play for adults because it deals with strong themes. But it is well done! I highly recommend this play! It is worth every penny. The quaint theatre situated on Lincoln Road surrounded by restaurants and bars was also quite comfortable and accommodating.

Built at a cost…read moreof $150,000, it first opened as a 1,200 seat Art Deco Paramount Pictures movie house on January 25, 1935 with actress Carol Lombard as the guest of honor. In the 1940's during WWII, the theater showed health and training videos to GI's in training. In the 1960's the movie theater was renovated along with all of Lincoln Road in the MiMo style of architecture (midcentury modern). Seating capacity was reduced to 894 seats. In the ensuing years the Colony used as a movie house and a live performance space. In 1971 Samuel Kipnis purchased the theater and used it to host The Greater Miami Educational Cultural Series and he showed educational films from his private collection. In 1982 ownership of the theater was taken over by the City of Miami Beach and the Miami City Ballet used it as a performance space. In 2006 the Colony Theatre underwent a $6.5 million renovation that returned it to its original Art Deco style and updated it with new light and sound equipment. I love when a historic building is saved, especially when it is such a wonderful example of Art Deco architecture. How wonderful that the theater is still being used today. It is even said to be haunted to be the spirit of a barking poodle and one that likes to hang out by the main stage and lobby. Today the Colony Theatre is a 417 seat performance venue managed by South Florida theater company, Miami New Drama who perform their theatrical season in the theater. The Colony also hosts film festivals, comedy, music, dance, and theater performances. The theater is nicknamed "Miami's Beauty Queen." Make like the golden age of Hollywood and take in a show. .

The studio time was very easy to book and our engineer, KMLO, enhanced the experience even further. For starters, the place is stunning. The decor provided an edgy aesthetic that made you feel like you walked into Never Never Land. There was a massive silver back statue and huge white walls filled with paintings and records. The focal point of the room was the lounge that was equipped with a pool table and baby grand piano. The setup was done well, not corny or cheesy at all. As for the experience, it was 2nd to none! We were offered tea for our voices as soon as we arrived (so good) and the engineer asked us what our intentions were so that he could set the vibe. He was so skilled! He helped us every step of the way and made it fun. We def felt like real artists. The mood was set with red lighting within the studio so we really got into it. After our session, he let us hear ourselves and we were like whoa (we still sounded bad b/c we are not singers but we sounded way better than we ever imagined). Anyways, I highly recommend this studio! Super clean, professional, and I'll def be coming back!
