On EVERY occasion, I had to call back to ask after his instructions. His staff never sent my prescriptions to my pharmacy, nor were my procedures followed up. Additionally, the doctor performed a stress test. I had to call on several occasions to get the results of the stress test. I gave his staff permission to submit the results to my other doctors. My requests received courteous replies and assents but never any action. I ended up firing this doctor because of the ineptitude of his staff.

I will return to Dr. Parikh. He is an excellent Cardiologist. Dr. Parikh seemed very competent and has an excellent bedside manner BUT his Billing Department is a nightmare!!!! I paid my co-pay at each visit. A few months later my insurance company adjusted their payment on my Stress Test. I never was able to get a clear explanation from Premier Cardiology Billing Dept or my insurance, Care Plus. The adjustment left me owing $14.48. I paid this in April and the check cleared my bank within days. In May I received a bill from Cardiology Associates for $14.48. I tried calling but had to leave a message on their VM. I attached a copy of my canceled check to the bill and explained it had been paid. The Billing Dept never returned my call. In June I received another bill for the $14.48. I again called the Billing Dept and had to leave a message on VM. I then called the office and was transferred to the Billing Dept VM where I left another message. A week or so later I received a return call from a young man that said he was in the Billing Dept. I'm not sure if he was in an offshore call center or if he actually works here in Dr. Parikh's office but he had great difficulty understanding what I was trying to tell him. Apparently, in the computer, there is no record of the canceled check copy I sent them. After much explaining that I had paid the $14.48 and they had deposited my check in their account, he finally seemed to understand what I was saying. He asked for my canceled check number and the date it showed it cleared my bank. He was to call me back if there were any questions, otherwise, my account would be properly credited. Here we are the end of July and yesterday I received a bill for $14.48 from Cardiology Associates BE FOREWARNED ...... THE CARDIOLOGY BILLING DEPT. STAFF IS TOTALLY INCOMPETENT!!!!! You will end up having a heart attack, stroke, or very high blood pressure in the process of trying to get your account straightened out! The CONTACT US link on the Premier Cardiology website DOESN'T WORK. I guess that's another clear message of how much they care about communicating with their patients. The other links work.

Has his PII and medical history and mine as guarantor of insurance. It's in the ether. They pulled us out of the lobby quickly for the appointment (likely because my husband was upset). We waited another hour to see the doctor. In the interim, the manager did come and apologize to us but not until we overheard the staff explain we were "pissed". They were right. As for the doctor. Since that time, I have been treated by Dr. Ranadive for Aortic Valve stenosis. Additionally, I had a coronary blockage that resulted in a coronary stent being placed. This resulted in remarkable results. Over the years, I have now been treated by all the doctors, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners in this practice. Professionalism is exceptional. Patients are not just pushed off on an assistant, but when I need to be seen, these assistants discuss my case with a doctor on duty to insure the treatment plan is the best. Although I sometimes have to wait to be seen, when things become urgent, this practice jumps through hoops and miracles happen! After 13 years, I am convinced that I have received the very best cardiac care available. They all care!

During that time, Dr Patel never really bothered to establish a baseline for my father. As my father aged, rather than bother with any issues, he pawned him off on his practitioner. My father's situation got worse, and eventually they added medications but did not consistently do studies like an EKG or put a Holter monitor on. For the last two weeks of my father's life, he was battling sick sinus syndrome and bradycardia while in the ICU. If you're not familiar with these conditions, please look them up, as they are issues this doctor should be able to manage and predict given his supposed expertise. My father was fully aware of what was happening until the end. Not once did the doctor call, visit, or even respond to the three messages left with his incompetent staff. If you're a patient here, you're treated like nothing more than an invoice.
