I go here for the $19.99 for french mani/pedi (normally $38), I have gotten my hair dyed, trimmed and relaxed. The school is mainly Spanish speaking but the instructors and some students do speak English. I went to the other location to get my eyebrows done. I plan on going and getting a facial.

The teachers were not trained in any products, hands on training or demonstrations. One teacher just sat at her desk drinking coffee during the whole class everyday. The owner of the school is a fake & fraud, all about the money. ,He even would charge extra for supplies for certain classes, when the supplies were supposed to be included. Luckily I studied the techniques and textbook to pass this course because the method of their teaching is not teaching just pay me the money. Scammers. After threatening the owner of a lawsuit of withholding my Certificate of Completion and the documentation needed for state board so I can finally receive my license ,it had taken 3 weeks when the school could of done it in one day which this was included in the price.This school has been reported to the state, City and Better Business Bureau. The instructor absolutely destroyed my daughters nails - irritating the cuticles, leaving her nails raw, infected & oozing with puss. The. went on to out a poly gel on and didn't dry it completely (my daughter even asked bc the cycle had not completed). This caused further irritation & infection bc of the wet polish on top of the open sores. She also has cuts and bruises. We called they were unable to see her for over 24 hours - went to a different salon and they would not work on her bc they did not want to exasperate the infection and irritation. I finally found a reputable salon willing to just take the polish off. That technician was appalled and remarked how serious this could have become quickly. The owner is unwilling to refund. I have included pictures - stay away from this school. Its a disgrace.

I spent $500 for a course that only describes the process of microneedling vs injection therapy. I have spoken with the owner directly, and was told that this is a course for aestheticians. However, I was originally told that my medical license needed to be verified in order to receive access to the course. So what was the purpose in license verification? The owner proceeded to tell me that it was my fault for purchasing an aesthetician course and refused to refund my money. In fact, in a most unprofessional outcome, I was hung up on. The fraudulent claims of what the course offered inevitably led to "AW Aesthetics" stealing my $500. The following is directly from the AW Aesthetics website: WHAT WILL YOU LEARN? - Learn how to use PRP to treat fine lines around lips, skin laxity of the neck, crow's feet, hair growth on the scalp regeneration, stretch marks scar improvement. In this statement, there is absolutely no reference to the fact that PRP is only used with microneedling vs injection. It is the responsibility of the business to clarify the level of expertise with which the courses are geared towards. I was under the assumption that I would be provided with education to further my practice since I had to provide proof of my medical license. This business practices in a shameful manner. The owner specifically asked me what my expectations were. I explained that I was looking to expand my practice to provide PRP injections for hair restoration. She stated that they offered that course in the past; however, this is currently not an option. Yet she still refused to refund my money. She even proceeded to state that she did not "need" my money and would provide an additional Zoom call. Why would anyone spend $500 for a conversation via Zoom. This company is a complete disgrace.

What matters is your environment. I have had 2 teachers in nails who were AMAZING! Ariane and Yaileen. My current facials instructor, Onelkis is AMAZING as well! She knows sooo much in her field and is a really GREAT teacher. Beauty school is what you make of it.... if you go in with the mindset of squeezing out all the knowledge of your instructors while there, are not lazy and take all the clients you can get- YOU WILL LEARN! Take pictures of your work while there and start practicing putting yourself out there! You will succeed and do great! I will say this school due to the area is mostly Spanish speakers. This was not a problem for me as I spoke Spanish but my books and exams were in English , being they know that is my 1st language! Learning has not been a problem. Don't be shied away thinking they only speak Spanish and are not in the know of the latest beauty trends bc they are! In fact, I dare say most work here is even BETTER than the standard beauty school. Cost of this school is also alot less expensive than most other beauty schools! So since nothing was happening. I called the other location myself and asked for him. They didn't know where he was so i left a message with the receptionist from Hialeah campus. I tried calling him directly and no answer and no reply. I tried texting him and no answer and no reply. I ended up waiting around in total of 45 minutes and left. I was quite upset that I cancelled some appointments for a man that had no concept of being professional. I gave them two days to respond to me and never heard from them again. This Eduardo character never called me to apologize or to reschedule or to anything. So damn rude. And good riddance cuz I could never work for someone like that. Disgusting!!! She asked me what shape & style I like and I told her I like cat eye but like some spikes too but that I wasn't sure if we were able to do that with me only having booked a classic set. She said yes we could. At the end she charged me an extra $15 for it. I do not like the lack of transparency when it comes to pricing. At least let me know beforehand especially when I asked. The set itself is gorgeous but about 8 hours later and my left eye is still a bit tender. Not sure if it's cause I haven't had lashes done in a while but just wanted to note that. It's located in a shopping plaza with lots of parking space.
