Lucky for me, it is open at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday morning as I breezed through Joplin. It's a formidable looking fortress but just be brave and open up one of the massive brown doors. (Entrances aren't really labeled.) I ended up entering through the bistro area. The home decor and kitchen items are maybe a bit pricey but not outrageous. The concrete sculptures (which they make on site) are fantastic. If you want to purchase one, just take a pic of it and they will secure one for you at the check out area. There's also baskets by the check out that you can place all your wares in and no one else can shop through them. But back to the sculptures...they are pretty reasonable and of good quality. If you buy one, you must drive to the back of the property where they make them to pick them up. This would be a five star review (for the retail store) if they had been a bit friendlier and helpful. Maybe we will have time for lunch sometime and up this to five!

I balme the customers a bit, there were many tables with people hanging ut waiting mostly for wife to finish shopping. So basically people would come in for lunch, hand out with family and friends and time up a table for hours. Long after they are done eating they continue to sit there and wait while some of the group goes out to shop. I find thse really rude and surprised that the owners don't suggest to people that they hand out elsewhere. Like the many places to sit outside. I get that it puts the owners in a difficult situation because they want to sell decorator stuff. However, they really need to figure this out and find some way to move people off the tables and hanging out somewhere else. Once seated the food was generally good but we didn't have the best waiter the last time we came in. Constantly forgetting things bringing out things wrong, not refilling water, forgetting table setting after asking several times, etc. Although we will come back as everything is good I won't bring a group, just my wife and I and I will not come without planning on loosing half a day waiting for a table, then service. The couple running it were very friendly and helpful but in that great way that they're not bugging you while you shop, either. As you walk in to the right, there's some small wall humidors, pipe tobacco, various torches, cutters, etc. straight ahead is a few small smoking rooms, few TVs (one to a room, which I like), to the left is the counter and a small walk in humidor. The owner/operator is a pleasant chap and knows his way around cigars. He has a good selection of sticks that'll keep you busy for more than a few smoking sessions if you tried something new every time. I think the smoking rooms could use a few more ashtrays, cutters and lighters but I usually went during the day so maybe he puts more out during peak times. Upstairs is the members only section. There's a nonmembers cutting fee to smoke in the lounge. Not a fan of those in general but Joplin isn't exactly a high volume city so it's understandable. I will for sure return when I'm back in Joplin. Loved the places and loved chopping it up with the locals when I stopped by.
