Even before the pandemic there were quite a few empty retail spaces. This place is always kind of a traffic nightmare, although there is plenty of parking. Macys and Kroger are the major anchor businesses. Kroger has recently done a major upgrade to their space which is nice. There is dining, movies, coffee, gyms, shopping, gas, and even a Cincy Bell store. Sometimes they do events, which are on hold for now, but the calendar can be found on their website for the future. Entrances are available off Beechmont or 5 mile. Hopefully this spot will continue to grow, however that will not remedy the traffic issues.

It contains Bonefish Grill, Cork & Bottle (liquor store), Purple Pansy (children's wear), a deli (Sandwich Block), and numerous other small businesses. I'm just rating it a-OK because I've been to the complex twice while shopping nearby and didn't really see anything that interested me. I guess it's truly a specialty center and if you're not seeking one of those specialties, I found no reason to drop in!

However, this is actually now my favorite square. It has shops, coffee, bars, restaurants, a great used book store, gelato. For everyday necessities, there is a bank, CVS pharmacy, UDF for gas. There's also an animal hospital, massage therapy, acupuncture, dentists, etc. My favorites of the Square include: Buona Terra, Dust Jacket, Cloud 9 Sushi, Annabel's. Macys Backstage has now taken over a great deal of the second floor of the Anderson Towne Center Macys. There are small sections of womens/juniors clothing, mens clothing, shoes, purses, homegoods, and some beauty. It is supposed to be discount. Prices are ok, but considering some of the higher end brands that Macys tend to carry, there never seems to be many name brand items. If you are shopping downstairs at the regular Macys it is worth checking out at least once, as long as your expectations are not high. I really wish they would have just continued to use this space for the regular everyday Macys.
