I was referred to Clermont in Orangeburg; the radiologists were always friendly and professional. The receptionists were not. When I went in 2020, it was unpleasant. It is always complicated and horrible because the insurance company tells me one thing and Clermont wants to charge an exuberant fee. Due to my having a lump which concerned me, they finally let me have the procedure. I called the insurance company afterwards and they informed me due to my situation, I would not have to pay. I went back on 8/29th, and the experience was awful. First, the receptionist did not speak, smile, or anything. Second, she told me I had a balance, and I should not have. Third, my Dr. ordered it due to my situation. And finally, she rudely informed me that I had to pay $291. 91. What kind of deductible is that? Three days prior, I learned another immediate family member had breast cancer. This heightens my fears. She offered no options; appeared cold, callous and uncaring. She told me either pay the almost $300 or reschedule. I asked if mammograms were offered anywhere else and she nastily replied, "The hospital but they cost more" I will NOT return even if I get the money. I don't trust them at this point and I do not want to give these people my business. I informed the main office in Florida and the person I spoke with was supposed to talk to the director and call me back the next day. Early detection is critical; yet it saddens me that Clermont Radiology is oblivious to that, especially the Orangeburg Office. I will research other places to have the mammogram done even if I have to go out of town. I don't recommend Clermont Radiology in Orangeburg to anyone. Now I have used them in Florida and had a pleasant experience. As a matter of fact, since it is a routine test for women my age, I don't ever recall paying a deductible anywhere and this was before breast cancer was in my family lineage. Go figure.

Our little man wouldn't take his hand out from in front of his face and Renee worked with him and was patient. When we couldn't get the shot of the baby straight on she offered for me to come back in before I went home to try 1 more time and I'm so thankful we did because we got the most beautiful pictures. They also give you high quality pictures not just your regular run of the mill ultrasound print outs. The thought and care that Renee and her team put into Heritage Baby View is unmatched. When setting up the appointments she instructed me to drink lots of water at least 5 days before the ultrasound for better photo quality. The room where they do the ultrasound is set up so cozy with comfortable couches and huge monitor to see the ultrasound. The lazy boy recliner was so comfortable I didn't want to get up. I was preparing for a surgical implant. The facility was very clean and the employees were very friendly and helpful. One even helped me remove my necklace with a teeny tiny clasp. I was taken to the room and the technician was very nice and informed. I asked if I could use this same place for future MRI's and he told me that I could not, if I had the implant, I would have to go to to Grand Strand. They have a machine that they can adjust for people having an implant like me, or for people with pacemakers. I was happy to get this information for my future. Although I have had the implant installed, I felt sorry this was my one and only chance to take advantage of this convenient facility. I highly recommend them.
