Well, she underpaid one of the vendors who came looking for me, the mother of the groom at the hotel. It was such a disgusting experience Loura should know better. It was just such a dramatic disgusting experience on the day of my aunts son's wedding. Definitely don't recommend her on professionalism and dealing with vendors and getting me involved. My husband and I initially chose Floramor for our wedding florist because Laura Little, the owner, was energetic to work with (this woman is like Richard Simmons on amphetamines), was able to provide us with tulips (my favorite) during an off-season, and was willing to work with our budget (which was small compared to what the big hotels pay her). There were several times when it took her weeks to get back to us during our communication phase, but we eventually drafted up our proposal and descriptions of our wedding flowers. During the wedding day, amidst all the craziness, we still noticed that several items were not delivered according to our contract. 1) We had ordered free-flowing organza to be used on the gazebo, but were given a rigid tulle material instead. 2) We had ordered brown-colored flower petals that coordinated with our color theme, but were given red-colored petals. 3) We had ordered sashes and ribbons for our seating cards table, but were given only a small number of what we ordered. 4) We ordered large calla lilies for vases, but miniature ones were delivered. After we returned from the honeymoon, we e-mailed Laura about all the things that were not delivered based on our contract, including photos as proof. Laura became really defensive and quite rude to us. In one e-mail, she implied that our wedding was cheap and that she did us a favor by working with us. She blamed us for not pointing out the errors on the day of the wedding when we noticed them (I guess she expected us to neglect all the things we had to do on that day to await her re-delivery of those items? Ri...di...cu...lous.) After many e-mails back and forth, she eventually agreed to refund us a small portion of our money back. I have seen some of Laura's work and was very impressed. Additionally, I really liked my tulip bouquet, my bridesmaids' bouquets, and the centerpieces. She is definitely capable of doing outstanding work when at high cost, but will sometimes substitute substandard items if your budget is smaller. Be aware if she states that she will work with your budget. I used Floramor for my June 2013 wedding, and was THRILLED with the flowers. Laura does a fantastic job of listening to what YOU personally want. In the process of working with her, I had the chance to see the flowers she was designing for a number of different events, and I was struck by how different each event looked. This is because she is totally open to and in touch with your vision. The flowers at my wedding were exactly what I wanted. I had sent Laura about 20 pictures of bouquets, and my bridal bouquet took the best of each of them and was even more beautiful than any of them. The centerpieces were gorgeous, and the large standing arrangements were breathtaking. We gave Laura a budget and she did an excellent job of staying within it. Actually, our final cost was lower than the original estimate! Laura was also extremely professional, and communicated very well with our venue. My husband and I hired Laura and her team for our wedding in October 2010. Laura is amazing, creative, and very talented! We knew nothing about flower arrangements, but she made us feel at ease and assured us that we'll have great flower arrangements for our wedding. She asked me what's my favorite flower, and right away she came up with various ideas; all of them were great we couldn't pick one. She even gave us some advices for the wedding, from table to dance floor arrangements. We were very inspired! She's very energetic and after we talked to her to discuss our wedding flower arrangements, we knew she's the one! We also got to see a sample of our centerpiece a few weeks before the wedding. It was just another assurance we needed, and our centerpiece looked amazing! On the day of the wedding, she delivered our bouquets in time and they looked gorgeous. I uploaded some picture as well. Yesterday, my husband sent me a miniature version of my wedding bouquet - black mini calla lilies for our 2 year wedding anniversary - it's tradition - he also did that for our first year --- from Floramor of course! 2 years ago we hired Floramor for our wedding at Wente Vineyards. Rhonda Stoffel who is no longer there was EXCELLENT! She heard us out and went above and beyond what we expected. Most of our flower budget went to personal flowers and ceremony decor. My bouquet was a lush and rounded pave style design of deep aubergine-eggplant New Zealand mini callas - GORGEOUS! I'm not much for fluff and knew I wanted something modern. I got just that! My ladies had dramatic hued bouquets as well: deep crimson, cognac-amber and aubergine... I won't go into each flower, the bouquets were just as big as mine - stunning! We were originally planned to marry on the lawn but since our guestlist was a little over 200 (which is intimate to us) we had no choice but to move our ceremony. I knew I wanted to stand in front of an arch with flowers but didn't want a cheesy wood white one. Floramor suggested a 9 foot tall natural birch arch canopy . Perfect! I had wanted it to be square, but since we were moved in front of the event center with an arch way - Floramor quickly transformed the square to an arch on the spot. The birch arch was entwined with fabric, green hydrangea, sunset hued and burgundy aubergine dahlias, roses and fresh grapes! Lastly, I had to have rose petals going down the aisle! Keeping up with the hot colors - rose petals of plum-burgundy, red and tangerine were scattered. For the reception I wanted to keep it simple since Wente is just so beautiful on it's own and we had a Zephyr tent - I kept the flowers to all white and green. Centerpieces were comprised of three varying sizes of mini glass cubes: each cube contained one floral element. Flowers were: white hydrangea, green hydrangea, white roses, white sweetpeas, white lilies, green cymbidium orchids, lime green button poms and lime green anthurium. This way, more aunties could each take a centerpiece home. We had a square cake of 5 layers - Floramor added orchids to each layer. We were so happy with our flowers! FLORAMOR does wonderful work! If we ever host a sophisticated soiree, we're for sure going with Floramor! read more

Laura did the floral at Ritz HMB for the wedding and she was simply amazing! The Mandap, the bridal walkway and all the flower arrangements were so gorgeous elegant and colorful at the same time and stood out against the blue ocean waves! She was efficient with the setups and had everything ready to go on time. The flower arrangements at the evening reception were fabulous and enormously sized, and the stage was perfectly decorated and stunning! She created the perfect jazz and blues vibe for the music night and it felt like we were in a exclusive club like atmosphere! I hired Laura for my wedding at the Fairmont and she did a fanstastic job. She's by far the best florist out of all the ones we talked to and all the guests took tons of pictures of the center piece, because they were absolutely stunning. Laura has great visions and every arrangement she does fits your desired style and they are always different. I would definetly use her again and recommend her. She was able to work in my last minute flower requests, literally the day before the wedding, which I thought was really above and beyond the expectation. One thing for the yelpers, I didn't get a reminder of the deadline to cancel extra orders of flower. Laura warned me not all guests would come and I may not need all the flowers I initially thought I needed. My notice to her was just one day late (a few minutes passed midnight). It's completely my fault, because she put the order in as early as possible to guarantee the flowers. She did try to cancel it for me later, but had no success. We were able to use the extra flowers for other things later, so it's ok. The other vendors I worked with gave me reminders for the final count. so just an FYI. read more

I hired Floramor for my wedding at the SF Fairmont on 9/20/08 and I would recommend them in a heartbeat. They are more than just a florist. They also provide wedding coordination services at an additional charge. If you are going to hire them, I would highly suggest using their coordination services as well because I found them to be invaluable even though I'm one of the most organized people I know. Even if you don't hire the coordinators, Laura, the owner, has so much experience and expertise on the venues in SF that she might as well be your wedding consultant. For example, we had our ceremony in the Gold Room and she recommended arranging the seats in a round rather than the traditional theater style. We decided to go with her suggestion and it ended up being the part of the wedding that was the most talked about (in a good way) by our guests. And she offered this suggestion before we'd even hired her! Now onto the flowers -- let me start by saying that I am not a flower person. I like them, I think they're pretty, but I don't fawn over them like most girls. That being said . . . I've sort of become one after seeing the work that Floramor did for my wedding. WOW, the flowers were gorgeous. The bridesmaids bouquets were the most beautiful I've ever seen. The centerpieces were unique and matched my wedding colors perfectly. I provided very little direction because again, I'm not a flower person, but I did tell Laura what I liked and didn't like, and what my colors were. What her and her team came up with was beyond my wildest dreams. I also appreciated that despite the fact that we pretty much gave her free reign, she stayed well within our budget guidelines and didn't go over the top with any of the designs because she knew the Fairmont so well and how the natural elegance of the hotel would be best highlighted. Maria was my week-of coordinator and Shana was my day-of coordinator. They thought of things that never would've occurred to me. Between them and Laura, all of whom were a joy to work with, I felt that I was in great hands that I trusted 100%. Best of all, I was able to relax and have the time of my life, knowing that everything was being taken care of. Obviously, Floramor is not cheap. But they also don't overcharge for their services given the quality of their work. In fact, I think the intangible they provide -- peace of mind on your wedding day -- is absolutey priceless. read more

In October of this year, Laura and her incredible team pulled off our dream wedding and did so with about 4 months to plan. We were referred to her by a friend who used her services for the "day of" their wedding, but I think that having Laura's team only work on that portion is like going to Gary Danko's and just ordering the bread basket. While it's the best bread you're ever going to eat, the real meat, potatoes, cheese, caviar, oysters, champagne, and chocolate dessert are why you go. I recommend you GET IT ALL. Our event was a 3-day extravaganza on the Central Coast that included a rehearsal dinner in SLO, an epic wedding ceremony at the Santa Margarita Ranch, and a Pool BBQ the following day. We felt confident that Laura could handle it based on her 20+ years of wedding planning experience and extensive reference list from clients hosting 4-day, elaborate, exotic Indian wedding affairs. Because she knows so much about catering and events, we often witnessed Laura educating our vendors on how they should be doing their jobs. In addition to working with the few vendors we found, she sourced the absolute best companies to provide the band, photography, transportation, lodging, food, programs, candy, decor, and of course the flowers (note: the venue staff commented that they had never seen the space look the way she set it up, truly visionary and epic execution). Laura made several weekend trips with us to the venue which was incredible because it was a 8 hour round trip journey. Truly above and beyond! Laura helped us to budget, got us great discounts prior to the event, was always forthcoming when costs increased, and when things went awry with our caterer, she helped to negotiate a reasonable outcome and put what could have been a terrible experience to rest quickly and fairly. Looking back, there are things I would have done a little differently - like coordinating the pizza after party, and paying closer attention to the seating, but that's on me, not them. Which leads me to my final thought on the whole process - even when working with Laura and team, it's still the responsibility of the bride and groom to be proactive, responsive, and decisive. No one is a mind reader, and if it's important enough to cry about on the day of, be sure to figure it out in advance. Otherwise, save the tears and HAVE A BLAST!! PS. Working with Laura at Floramor was fabulous. She always got back to me right away when I had a question and made me feel taken care of. The reason I gave Floramor a 4 and not a 5 was because there were several small things that were not done as we had discussed. The following are all minor infractions. The overall feel of the wedding was wonderful and I was happy enough with how everything turned out. I would have been happier if these things had not happened, but they in no way ruined my day or even caused me much worry. The centerpieces were gorgeous even if they weren't exactly what we had discussed. I loved the candelabras and crystals. 1. I paid what I think is a lot of money to drape the gazebo for our ceremony, however, the material that was showed to me in a picture was much more substantial than the flimsy stuff they put up. It really did not compare to the pic, so I was dissapointed with that. 2. We discussed a "carpet" of roses for my aisle, but ended up with a pattern. It was pretty, but not at all what I wanted. The ceremony was actually delayed while we waited for them to spread the petals. It still did not end up being a "carpet" of petals.... it was very sparse. 2. I asked for a tight bunch of hydrangeas between each layer of my cake and ended up with holes between the flowers where you could see the columns between each layer. It looked very messy and sloppy. I don't know if I should blame my cake guy or her. 3. Laura was not even there. For our discussions, I assumed she would be there to carry out my vision. It's hard for people to set up your wedding if they have no idea what you want. Laura had talked about seeing me and giving me my bouquet, but she wasn't even there. Two guys did everything. 4. I asked to have a flat of hydrangeas to stick the escort cards in. It was beautiful, but she put these green flowers in that I don't feel went with the theme of the wedding. While green was one of my colors, I specifically asked for a flat of white and/or green hydrangeas--not this little green flower that I feel took away from the soft romantic feel and made it more contemporary and modern. Pretty, just not something I would have chosen. 5. The centerpieces were lovely, just not what we had discussed. They had orchids and lilies in them, which were definitely not part of my theme. I asked for soft fluffy flowers like hydrangeas, roses and peonies. I did not see any peonies in the arrangements or my bouquet. read more

She was simply amazing during the planning/brainstorming process and was just spectacular in executing it all on our wedding day! She made herself available to us despite her very busy schedule. Suffice to say, she is clearly passionate about what she does, and the effort she puts into her work is a living testament to that passion. Floramor Studios was the worst decision we made for our wedding. Do not hire Laura. Not only is she unprepared but they are unkind and very culturally insensitive. We do not use the word lightly but after several complaints, we believe that Laura is a racist. We had a Nigerian, Indian, Hindu and Catholic wedding at multiple venues in San Francisco (Ritz, St.Peter & Paul, Design Center etc.). Laura did not attend one-person meeting despite countless attempts to get her and her team present. We tried to make everything very easy for her by writing an agenda, walking her through the schedule, but she and her team were incredibly unprepared. She ended up leaving after the Friday event and left all of the other events to her staff, who bless their hearts definitely tried, but didn't have the experience to pull off a complicated wedding. Here is just a list of items that Laura failed on: 1) She did not secure a single vendor. We found and negotiated everything. She did not deliver payment to any of these vendors or even interact with them. She did, however, blame them for everything and anything that went wrong. 2) She did not come to an in-person meeting. Very difficult to get on the phone. 3) Several of our vendors did not like working with her. Some of the words they used to describe her "unprepared", "rude", "confusing", "incredibly frustrating" and some language that we will spare you with. The worst episode was her making fun of our Nigerian caterer simply because she had a different way she spoke. 4) She got upset with the bride, me, on the day of the wedding. Yelled at my sister who finally told her that she needed to not interact with me. 5) All ceremonies were disorganized. No one knew when to go, or where to be etc. She was actually not present for either of the ceremonies. It was chaotic. 6) We had to spend hours correcting her agenda because it was wrong. In the end, it didn't matter because her staff or she did not know what was going on. Don't blame the staff, blamed Laura. 7) She sent me a rude email saying that I called in and told one of her staffers that another "staffer" was pretending to be ill. I never did this. 8) She was not present at all for any events and did not leave us with a "go-to" person for questions. We later found out that she was planning to retire. Her staff told us that they no longer want to work for her because the past several weddings had been so disorganized it was embarrassing. Although, tired and relieved from wedding and planning process. We finally have some to write a review. I normally don't post reviews but after our experience with Floramor and Laura (the owner). I feel that this review needs to be posted for all future couples in search of florists for their wedding. Be forewarned, her flowers may turn out well but her follow through is poor for the price you pay. So here it is: We give Floramor a 'generous' 3 stars We used Floramor for our July 2014 wedding at the Four Seasons hotel in San Francisco. We found them thru Yelp and was also recommended by the hotel. There were a few red flags after we placed our 50% deposit with Floramor. Laura became very slow in responding to our emails during our planning process. Over the course of 6 month, we had to email and call her several times to get a response. She made a lot of excuses about sending to the wrong email addresses or receiving our emails to her "other" email addresses... She often became rude and snooty about colors and florals and even suggested we go to "art school" since our view of coral is different then hers. Her lack of customer service really affected our judgement and trust on her. If it wasnt for our 50% deposit, we would have gone to a different florist. Her emotions were all over the place. One minute being rude and next nice and "excited" as she says. We had to tolerate her and hope she provides us the florals and decor we paid for $$$$. After finalizing our plans with her and had the details written out in our contract, everything seemed like it will fall into place and Laura would follow through as planned. However, on the day of our wedding, the boutonnieres and bouquet that were delivered to us first were not as what had talked about with Laura. She did not provide us (as written by Laura in contract) "little orchid, calla, rose or ranunculus" boutonnieres for the groomsmen and the fathers. Instead all of the boutonnieres were boring white/cream roses on black satin (which also should have been gray satin). The person that delivered them claimed he didn't know and told us to call Laura about it instead of finding a solution to fix the issue. The person delivering the flowers has been with Floramor for a long time and may be Laura's husband as well.... We also paid a lot of money for a floral arrangement to be placed at our guest sign in. The picture Laura provided us in the proposal compared to the one we had on our wedding day was completely different! It small and cheap and so were the flowers. Completely disappointing. Keep in mind, these were flowers that guests see first as they walk in. They were supposed to be grand and beautiful. Also, the ribbons wrapped my bouquet wasn't enough as the metals pierced thru and cut my hands the entire time I was holding it no matter how much we tried to fix it ourselves. I suppose on a good note, the centerpieces did turn out beautiful and arranged as we described. Those were the only good things that came out of our entire experience with Floramor - centerpieces. But overall, the process of planning with her and especially with her attitude towards customers was unpleasant. And also, she did not follow through as was finalized and paid for with the other floral arrangement. Customer service and follow through: -2 stars. read more

She also came up with great suggestions of which I incorporated into my wedding. 2 stars. I hired Floramor as my wedding planner after my first planner didn't work out, roughly 4 months before the wedding. Laura was nice when we met but things did not go very well after that. Laura and her team didn't respond to my emails, questions or concerns promptly. I had to call the office multiple times after they did not respond to emails and follow up emails. Also, there were details that vendors contacted me about because they were not getting the information from Floramor, and there was incorrect information given to the vendors. While the wedding went well, the team's day-of service was not good. At the wedding I found myself taking care of issues and decisions that I had hoped the planner would look out for. The team also left without notifying me and my husband and left us to take care of many things at the end of the night. If Laura had helped us with the entire wedding I may have given her three stars. However we had already hired almost all our vendors when she came on, and had taken care of many key things, and we were dissatisfied with the service we received for the price. read more

Initially, I had the intention of hiring Laura for flowers only, however I decided to have her design our entire wedding. The details were AMAZING, the design BRILLIANT! To this day, I keep getting compliments on the design aspect of the wedding as well as the amazing flowers that Laura put together for us. Not only is Laura very creative, but she will work with you in anyway needed to make your wedding day a dreams come true. There are not enough words to state the elation that my husband and I had when we first arrived in our ballroom. Each wedding picture we see is a constant reminder of how amazing our day was thanks to Laura's work. Laura is not just a designer, artist or florist -- she is a wife, mother and a compassionate woman who truly understands what a bride wants for her special day. As a photographer, it is great to work with such a talented floral designer who creates such gorgeous floral centerpieces and room decor. It makes my job easy! One of the things that is so great about Floramor is that they are full service, offering rentals, linens, florals and event event coordination. Having one vendor coordinate all that for you make it so easy & flawless. For a chilly outdoor wedding last December Laura obtained these wonderful chenille blankets for guests to use during the ceremony. She's so easy to work with, and her designs and ideas are brilliant. It's taken me almost a year to come around to writing this review because working with Laura was one of the most frustrating experiences I have ever had, and I just didn't even want to think about it. Honestly, I would have given her a full five stars for her floral design and decorating; they were truly beautiful. She uses great products and has a great eye for design. And I would give her a one star for wedding planning, so I went with two. I would have had an easier time planning my wedding without Laura than with her, considering how many of the items she was contracted for that I ended up doing myself. She was super nice and excited when you met her, but she had no enthusiasm for the actual work of planning the wedding. Basically all she had to do was the timeline and day of coordinating, she didn't come through on either account. Her timeline was a mess, and it was incorrect (ending time was wrong, lunch time was wrong), which she promptly blamed me for in an email to a vendor. That was the first major sign this was not going to go well. On the day of my wedding, she claimed to not be able to find the groom, explaining she had called him multiple times and sent her assistant to his room. Not surprisingly, he was in his room, with no missed calls, and no one had come to his room. Bottom line, hire for flowers, not for planning. It seems like she picks and chooses who's wedding she'll pay attention to, so maybe if I had hired her to plan the full wedding instead of the 6 weeks package, she would have made it a priority, so that's something to consider. read more

We met with a couple of florists before finally meeting with Laura at Floramor and as soon as we left her studio, my now husband and I turned to each other and said, "yup, we're going with her." We didn't need to see anyone else. Upon stepping into the studio, we were met with vibrant colors and flowers of all kinds. The ambiance was so warm and inviting, as was Laura. We met with her for about an hour and she immediately got our vision for the wedding. She understood what we were trying to do and was so easy to work with in terms of working with our budget yet still giving us spectacular work. It was simply amazing to see their hard work on our wedding day. I literally squealed and excitedly jumped up and down when a couple of her employees showed up at the hotel to deliver the groomsmen' boutonnieres and the bouquets for us girls. I even hugged them! And when we walked into our reception venue and saw the array of red flowers spread amidst the room we were simply taken aback. We knew their work would be phenomenal but it exceeded our expectations. We're so grateful to them for their hard work and would definitely recommend them to our friends! read more

Laura was fabulous. Our wedding was on the California Spirit and Laura did all the floral pieces. She guided us on the flower pieces and where to place them. She even told us when we did not need a piece thus saving us money. The flower pieces were exquisite along with the bridal bouquets.
