This past weekend, I wanted to order flowers for a small church down on Hoopers Island. Because florists are not open on Sunday, and the church is not open all the time, we had to work out a plan. When I called to order, they were very pleasant and helpful. I selected a spring flower basket and made arrangements with a friend to pick it up on Saturday on her way through Cambridge. Floral Unique was hired to be the florist for a local wedding. They did the flowers for the church, reception and bouquets and boutiques. Mostly it was lovely. However the bouquets were not what was requested. The bride asked to see the bouquets day prior. Roses were wro ng color. The argued over ability to get correct ones but did not inform bride ( correct was available elsewhere) they then substituted carnations for the roses (huge price difference, and bride did not want carnations only white flower????! No adjustment on price. When bouquets were delivered the bridal bouquets was exactly the same as bridesmaids bouquets same size exactly the same! Called florist next business day ",owner out of country" will call back. Argued they were different and aggressive with no apology whatsoever. Still have not heard from florist 6 weeks later. My husband recently had major surgery, and we had our share of bad flowers delivered from various florists. I'm tired of flowers that are past their prime and have to be tossed two days later - when you consider the cost, this is a shame. I wish I had read Sara Y's review before ordering from Florals Unique. I had the exact same experience. I ordered a fall basket bouquet for my mom's birthday. The basket was shown on the internet with a ghourd, a candle, sunflowers, pods, and other things that looked beautiful and perfect for this time of year. The bouquet that was delivered looked nothing like what was shown online. I called the store and was told that the ghourds did not come in, the basket did not come in, the pods came in but something was wrong with them... lots of excuses. No one called me to tell me that the order could not be fulfilled based on the picture shown online. Very disappointing and not customer oriented at all. In fact, I later learned that when my mom called to confirm the delivery time the worker told her "sometime today" and when my mom asked for a more specific time, the worker rudely snapped "I told you sometime today!" So, needless to say, I won't be ordering from this place again. I think the pictures they post online are "stock photos" and not actual photos of floral arrangements that they make in their store. I asked for a partial refund of my order but was only given store credit which I won't be using. read more
