We grabbed a few different things and the employee helped my husband pick out a local Maine beer to try. You can't go wrong with the Good Food Store. Great service with an amazing selection of goodies. Definitely recommend if you're in the area!

I have stayed at the Snowcap Inn a few times, and each time has been decent. Again, the rooms are not flashy, but it's always clean and it does the job of being a reliable, convenient and cheap-er place to stay at the resort. A huge plus is that they are dog friendly! Overall, I would give Snowcap 4 stars, however, I dropped it down one more star because check in is at 4pm on weekday and 5pm on a weekend (never any time before) and check out is 10:30. The check in makes it hard, especially if you have a dog, and want to go skiing that same day, so I wish check in could be earlier than they have. Will I continue to stay here? For sure. Would I recommend to others? Sure, just know what you are getting when staying here.

We stayed in the Sunset Room. A/C was already on in our when we checked in, so no sweating to wait for the room to calm down. This was important as we are in the midst of a heatwave. We had a goodnights rest Breakfast The coffee was ready was ready at 7am, if you wanted coffee before there is a Keurig Coffee maker too. They also had apple juice, orange juice and cranberry juice. When we sat down for breakfast we were served a fruit cup with fresh fruit. Our breakfast consisted of 4 slices of French Toast, good amount of crispy potatoes, 2 eggs (we choose over easy) 2 slices of bacon for me and 2 sausages for my husband. Im not a big eater but I ate almost everything on my plate. My husband ate all of his. It was very delicious and reminded me of a breakfast my Mom would make. I didn't get to meet Linda but I booked our Reservation with her and she was very friendly and it went smoothly. Andi was really nice and always had a smile. She pretty much did everything from making sure we had whatever we needed and to cooking breakfast for everyone there. It was almost fully booked and everyone seemed very friendly. If your passing through I highly recommend this Bed & Breakfast

The managers and owners Brian and his wife Ruby have restored this motel built in the fifties to its original glory with a lot of nice touches. We we're wishing we able to check out the live music that was featured on Friday and Saturday but because of the wedding festivities we missed it. The continental breakfast was better than most I've had in a motel or hotel. Great coffee and real milk with a large variety of things to eat. The best part was learning about some of the amazing features of the building like a hidden cigar bar placed in a perfect original setting complete with a special ventilation system to remove the smoke from the room. The rooms are very simple and I love the minimalist look- exposed brick, no cheesy motel art. the beds are really comfortable and the sheets are nice with a simple white duvet (no cheesy motel bedspreads) and lovely pillows. We hope to be returning to stay here again. Teri from Baltimore

Pleasant River is a nice, unassuming little motel. The place is clean. The price is great. The wifi always works great. They charge by the room and not, like most places around there, based on per person full occupancy. We almost always stay 2 nights on weeknights and the 2 of us get a room with microwave and fridge for under $60/night (that is for the both of us, not each). The McCartney's, the proprietors, are quiet, friendly and provide great service.

The owner's, Michelle and Matt, were some of the friendliest, nicest people that I have ever met. They helped us out in our hour of need in ways I can't ever describe!! They put us in touch with Norm (another great guy) who had the only garage in the area and he was able to fix our truck once he was able to get the parts a day later. They bended over backwards in amazing ways to help us and they basically saved our vacation. We didn't even miss a day of skiing!!! I will never forget them!!! It is so great to know there still are some really nice people in this world who want to help others. I highly recommend a stay at the Errol Motel if you want a great mountain experience and you want to meet some great people. Their dog, Bailey will be glad to meet you too!! Five Stars to Michelle, Matt and the Errol Motel!!
