We are pleasantly surprised with authentic Korean food in CDMX, totally unexpected :)…read more Food is good and reasonable priced, LA Galbi honestly is better than some of the ones I found in the states... not the best but has good flavor and lean meat (good when you are fighting a stomach bug in Mexico lol). The fried dumplings were crispy and delicious. Ramen was spicy and comforting. This one is added to my Mexico City collection.

I know that it can be hard to get foreign ingredients in Mexico even though it's gotten a lot better than when I lived there. The banchan were mostly good and abundant. One kimchi was a little too fermented and all were bland, but overall ok. The dolsot bibimbap had few ingredients, just the rice, some spinach, egg and came with some kind of beef paste that didn't taste like gochujang. My husband found it edible, but bland. There is a mistake on the download menu, which I assumed would be more accurate than the physical menu. I ordered seafood soon dubu jigae and got boiled water with a few pieces of zucchini and rawish supermarket mushrooms. I expected the customary silky smooth tofu, but instead it was an unappetizing mess of curdled soy milk. There was no spice from gochgaru or gochujang, just boiled unsalted vegetable water. It was entirely inedible. I ate some rice and banchan. The server first told me I had ordered the wrong dish even though their menu was incorrect. He later offered to redo the order to my liking, but I did not trust that it would be any better. They were very kind and removed the charge. I guess some people found the decor understated elegant. To me it was funeral. This is an expensive restaurant with accommodating owner and staff, but without good food or ambiance. I don't recommend it.

They offer the menu in both English and Spanish which I appreciated although I am able to get by. My server Allan was great. I ordered a mojito which was tasty followed by the tomato salad. The funny thing is that while I am not a tomato lover, this dish came with cucumbers, onions and sourdough bread and sounded so amazing on the menu, I had to try it. OMG, this salad had to be one of the best I have eaten. I then ended my lunch here with the Margherita pizza which did not disappoint. So glad I made the decision to stop here for lunch. It was a wonderful experience.

Other than great ambiance and service, I can't say I was too impressed with the food itself. It definitely satisfied our Italian food cravings, but it probably isn't the best you can find in CDMX. I think it's a little overhyped and I honestly probably wouldn't go back before trying other places to see how they compare. If you want to try this spot, I'd say go for the pizza and skip the pasta. The crust has a nice texture and the chili oil sauce was incredible!
