Unprofessional Behavior at Flooring Depot - A Warning to Others
I want to share an extremely disappointing experience I had with Flooring Depot and their assistant manager, Bethany Tibbets.
We placed an order for flooring, but upon receiving the receipt, we realized we were not getting the items we had requested. We reached out to Bethany for clarification, and instead of addressing the mistake, she dismissed our concerns, telling us that we "must not know anything about flooring." After contacting another company, we were able to get exactly what we wanted.
We then called Flooring Depot to request a refund, and Bethany agreed. However, when we went in to collect the refund, the situation escalated. Instead of handling the matter professionally, she began insulting us, telling us we "don't know anything about carpets," calling us "dumb," and belittling us in front of other customers.
When I asked for the refund without the argument, she responded by telling me to "shut the fuck up" and threatened to have us "leave the store." She continued with rude and aggressive behavior, and even went so far as to say, "If I looked like you, I would be miserable." On top of this, she assumed that because we were looking for a lower-cost option, we must be "poor."
This is not acceptable customer service, and I'm sharing this so that others know what kind of treatment they might face. I understand mistakes happen, but there's no excuse for rudeness and hostility. I sincerely hope Flooring Depot takes this seriously and reconsiders who they have in charge of their customer service. read more
