If you need a…read moreHome Depot in East York or western Scarborough, I definitely recommend this store over the Ellesmere & Wicksteed locations. I can't comment on every single department or any of their installation services, but just in terms of the retail store - staff helpfulness & friendliness, in-stock levels, fairly clear & well maintained aisles, well chosen skid drop locations - they just seem to do a better job. Most recently I bought an Air Conditioner here and some weather stripping & insulation products. Noticed how the bulky HVAC products were all displayed in the spacious front part of the store for easy access by dolly or hand-truck and short run to the checkout & parking lot (whereas at Wicksteed they're split up with some AC's in the middle section where you'd have to bring them through aisles...). It helps that there often seems to be less of a crowd here. But I suspect part of that is due to customers being helped more promptly and competently both on the sales floor and at checkout.

I tried calling a plumber in to reinstall the sink but he said that I needed to call the cabinetry crew back in to put a hole in the new cabinetry for a new sink.. and the plumber was unable to reconnect the dishwasher because the outlet wasn't accessible. So finally after a huge ordeal and $650 dollars later, there is a new sink and faucet installed and the dishwasher is back in.. however the microwave/fan unit is still disconnected and I need to get in a third contractor to reconnect it but no guarantees at this point. Do yourself a big favour, pay 3K more for a professional crew and save yourself the headache and all of this b.s. I don't understand how such people are still in business.

From the very beginning, Rob's attention to detail, design expertise, and genuine care for the project have really stood out. Even before we formally engaged him, he took the time to review the plot we had chosen and confirm that it was a good choice for our build. That level of care continued throughout the entire process. Rob has been incredibly patient, always available when we needed him, and involved in every step of the way. This was our first new build, and we truly couldn't have done it without him. The trades he works with have also been fantastic. They take pride in their work and, like Rob, genuinely care about delivering a quality product. What sets Rob and PRASADA apart is the combination of patience, attention to detail, quality, and the genuine care they put into every project. You can tell that Rob takes great pride in what he does and is committed to getting the details right. Building a home is a huge undertaking, and I can't imagine having a better partner for such an important project. We would absolutely work with Rob again on any future projects and highly recommend PRASADA to anyone considering building a home.

Why NEVER to buy an appliance from Home Depot !!…read more We recently purchased an LG washer and dryer set from the Home Depot on Ellesmere Road in Toronto. We wanted an GE profile which has features such as "deep fill" for the water level, but were told that this model is not available in Canada due to the trade war. Fine. we were sold an LG set washer model WT6105CM as being it's equivalent. It certainly is NOT ! The settings include "deep fill" but only allows a corresponding setting of "deep wash" (not normal or delicate, etc.). there is no soaking feature... After we ruined, a large load of delicate items turned into rags, we were explained to never use deep wash as this setting is very abrasive and intended for the washing of construction clothing and the like. Returning to the Home Depot with the damaged clothing, we were told that we only had 24 hours to return the appliances (never previously alerted to...) An LG technician who was dispatched several weeks later after we had made a half dozen visits to Home Depot to get the issue resolved, explained that the "deep wash" on this model is a "never to be used setting other than for construction level dirt cleaning" he also disclosed that he buys all his appliances from Costco, which has a 90 day return policy (including for appliances) versus Home Depot's ridiculous 24 hours. The technician was very sympathetic to the issue. We had with these enforced settings and took photos of the ruined clothes. We continue to turn our towels and sheets into shreds when setting a deeper water level. The LG dryer DLE 6100 M also has default settings likely designed by a man... At dry level "normal" say for bath towels, it restricts the temperature to "medium heat" and won't allow the "high heat" setting so you have to run it TWICE! !A Home Depot supervisor suggested [after the fact) to only buy machines with basic settings that are all owner controlled . After months of frustration, wasted time and effort trying to deal with different departments and "managers" at both Home Depot and LG we have received ZERO satisfaction, nor compensation for damages caused by 1. the failure to disclose that it is not compatible with the GE profile model and 2. A policy requiring the consumer to return major appliances within 24 hours of purchase in contrast to 90 day return policies at stores such as Costco . YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED !

I picked this place based on the good reviews on google map. It's great that some people have had…read moregood experiences with them but mine was different: Our project was to remove water-damaged flooring and install new double-glued down hardwood in a two-bedroom condo apartment. The contractor they sent to complete the job was horrible. The final flooring that he rushed to deliver has so many bumps, gaps and glue marks everywhere. Of course, I contacted the company to see if the fix them. The owner, Aftab, showed up at our apartment himself. At first, he denied the bumps and glue marks but then agreed to fix one bump only. He left a glue remover and filler for us to remove glue marks and fill the gaps ourselves (how professional!) The area that they fixed became even worse than before. They visited two more times but couldn't make it any better. The last contractor told me that the first installer haven't done a good job leveling the concrete under. As a matter of fact, he had used a scraper to remove the old flooring and damaged the concrete and instead of using a self-lever before installing new flooring, he used cement to patch the damaged spots. Anyhow, we never paid the remaining 10% set aside for satisfaction but the damage to our apartment is well beyond that. We need to re-do the whole thing. I'm going to follow up the case in Ontario's small claim court and I know it is going to take a lot of my time but that's the path I have chosen. Do yourself a favor and stay away from them, if you can. Or if you want to work with them, ask them to show you our apartment on Bayview and Sheppard (St. Gabriel Village buildings). You're always welcome to my home to see it for yourself.
