Absolutely rude employees. Young girl up front was extremely rude and unprofessional, was the one taking orders and charged us for food and then told us they ran out of that specific thing so we settled for something cheaper and she didn't give us our credit nor cared to fix it when we brought it up. We essentially over paid for something we had to settle and get. View is beautiful, although the staff has no masks on, no gloves, nothing was being sanitized. Will not be coming here again due to the fact of how rude the staff was. read more

For 3 people to have a drink it was a $108 entrance fee. They should say that on their website.

Had a blast with the family floating down the river. It's so convenient to be picked up and shuttled back. Go early if you have kids under 14 yrs. The crowd is rowdy after noon and the place is so croweded in the afternoon that it's difficult to even get in the water to float. Most people just hang out on the wall, where we're supposed to enter the water, and makes it almost impossible to maneuver a tube, child, etc into the water. Would be helpful if staff was there to at least provide an open space for customers to safely get into the river. read more

the place is gorgeous! but looks are deceiving. it's over priced - you're totally paying for the atmosphere. super young employees working there. they failed to tell us we couldn't bring cans in and didn't check our coolers until AFTER a cop stopped us and threatened us with a ticket. kind of pointless to check our stuff after a cop already did... then they make you buy special canisters to empty your drink into as well. if you're wanting to spend a ton of money then go for it. the only nice thing about this place is that you can float multiple times because of the shuttle. but I definitely never want to come back here ever again. read more

The best spot in town to relax by the river. Great food, music and service. Well staffed and very friendly. If you get there early you'll have time to float the Comal River, then come back for some food and drinks while you enjoy a picnic table or a cabana. We had a "grown up" grilled cheese. It was the best! Highly recommend this place! read more

This place used to be great, I'd always get excited to come. The prices have ever increased and service has been spread thin. The people watching was always fun, but lately it's been too crowded and has gotten a little rough. I'll think twice about coming here again. read more

Had an okay time. We stayed in Scarlet for a night , one of the 4 tiny houses you can rent. The tiny house was cute , but was lacking in entertainment especially for being tiny. We tried to enjoy the outdoors after hours but the bugs were biting, so all we could really do is sit and stare at each other and our phones in the tiny sitting area until bedtime. The bed was comfortable but I did have a panic attack after I had climbed up there, I guess how closed in and how hot it was with tiny windows up there I just felt claustrophobic. I didn't like it at all! Just a warning to others that might have that problem! I didn't know I had it until I got up there! Also was scary for me to get down the ladder so after I got up at 3 am to use the bathroom I just stayed downstairs lol. The float trip was ok, it was hard to get in at the location due to many people just standing on the sides drinking in large groups! The only area we could get in was toward the rocky area with rushing waters from the chute,which was very hard! Idk what I was expecting from the river float It was more like a creek setting to me and idk what all the hype about it is! What was a disappointment was, check in was at 3 so by the time we got there, got settled in, and changed to float down the river, we had no time to do anything! By the time we got back we didn't have time to enjoy the bar or eat anything bc it was getting dark and about to close! Then the next morning check out was at 11 and the place opens at 10 so we couldn't do anything besides pack and leave! Other then that the staff are very friendly and owner is very nice! Floated past the Float In after the shoot on the Comal. It looked really fun and we loved the music they were playing (classic rock), so on our second float of the day we decided to jump off our tubes grab something to eat. There are several comfy areas to choose from with chairs and umbrellas on the lawn as well as 2 large decks. We ordered 3 burgers, a pulled pork sandwich and 1 pulled pork nachos. I really enjoyed my cheese burger and the pulled pork nachos however, the pulled pork is overly sweet and was too sweet for my sister in law to finish her sandwich. I will be back to hang out and eat there again. read more

Out of this world customer service by Rhonda!! Went on Fri morning - great parking space. Got tubes, cabanas, lockers, and recyclable/reusable cups. Was able to bring in my coolers (bought a package ahead of time!). Right on the river!! Water was super clear! A little grassy on the float but was way down didn't touch it. Float took about 2 hours. Shuttle was fast and easy. FYI no glass or cans in the river! You'll need aqua Sox too and lots of sunscreen. Was surprised to have smokers around us but not used to it since banned in our area. Has restaurant and bar on premise. read more

Fun family outing, fun for all 3 generations. We went on a weekday and the river wasn't crowded with a bunch of people, especially drunk people. More families and kids hung out by the main water shoot. Our group had a cabana that came with a small ice chest, 8 drink coupons, use of the floats, and special containers to use on the river. The restrictions for beverages on the river are reusable containers and coolers must have a locking lid. It's been many decades since I have floated on the river and it was definitely cleaner and less trash. We brought or own food, but they do sell food and alcohol. Biggest complaint is the bathrooms. Only 2 stalls, no showers or a place to rinse off. read more

Expensive! Looking to buy property out there just so I can get in the river... it'll be cheaper. Ha! They ran out of tubes with bottoms and you have to have a bottom! Especially with dogs, children and those with bad backs... up side it they give you a free drink. Need to tell you all your options because the bag margarita would have been a good choice had I known they had them. read more

I brought my family here for something to do during the pandemic in late August 2020. It was a Saturday so it was extremely crowded, no tube rentals because of pandemic. We waded in the river and had a good time, drinks were awesome, my kids did backflips over the chicken strips so evidently they were off the chain!! I will be returning but probably on a weekday. read more

Three stars for the venue. Love the atmosphere and the view. Frozen beer a great treat! However, the food leaves much to be desired. Burgers and tacos were ordered. Tacos were ok, not terrible, but nothing to write home about. Burgers were charred around the outside and undercooked on the inside. Maybe frozen patties or something? I found it: the best place in the world to have fun. You can get a tube and hop right into the river right there. Also you can do waterside dining, and have drinks. The main bar didn't have their beer cold enough. Otherwise, the staff was 100% perfect and so was everything else. read more

My mom and I happened by the Float In on a recent trip to the river. We didn't want to float the river that day but we did fancy a swim and a beer. This place was perfect. We grabbed an ice cold beer and a perfect spot under one of the umbrellas and lawn chairs they provide for patrons and watched the fun at the tube shoot across the way. You can dip in the water to beat the heat or bring your own tube, tie up and while away the day. I've seen them have live music and even movies in the past so check out what they have going on before you go! read more

This is the best place on the Comal River! It's a really neat venue and it's family friendly. You can tube, eat at the restaurant, which is delicious, listen to music, and so much more. You also get a free drink with admission, which includes frozen drinks, wine, and lots of different beers. I highly recommend spending a day here. Terrible place. Plastic plates, plastic utensils, plastic cups. Store bought pico da Gallo, they didn't have onions, food was over priced and was sub average. There was a hair in our salsa and the waitress blamed it being a cracked container until we pointed it out again. From the minute we walked up no one helped us find a seat. Very small selection of food options and drink options. This place could be amazing, but instead it just felt like I bought the cheapest food and didn't know how to cook in my backyard but had to pay big bucks for it. read more

This place is awesome! Stayed here 3 nights with my sister for a weekend trip and we had the best time. The tiny house we rented (Layla) was clean and decorated so cute. We had a reserved parking space which was great since it was really busy on the weekend. The staff treated us like family and were amazing! Ella was the sweetest...such a hard worker! Best place in New Braunfels for yummy food, excellent drinks and watching the fun at the tube chute. Our group of teenagers enjoyed riding the chute below. They joined us for a burger and rest, then continued the fun. Burgers are wonderfully tasty and prices are reasonable. Coming back, for sure! read more

Our Schilitterbaun trip was going really well until some lady in the current pool knocked my prescription glasses off my face and into the water. I was devastated, I couldn't really see because I am blind. I talked to the manager which was really nice and she said at closing they will have a diver look for them. I was literally in tears because I lived in Austin, couldn't drive myself and kids home, so I was in desperate need for my glasses to be found. The diver looked for a while and couldn't find it, so Katherine the supervisor had over ten life guards do a search. They still couldn't find them. Mind you the whole time I was in tears and they were off duty. Katherine offered me a ride to Austin, to pay for an Uber and everything she could think off. I couldn't believe there was people like at Schilitterbaun that understood my situation and didn't turn their backs on me. Then out of nowhere one on the life guards came up to me and said " our these your glasses" He found them outside the pool toss and scratched up by the trash can. U can imagine how grateful I was to him. This went on for over an hour and two hours I had to wait for closing. They even had a life guard meeting they had to put on hold for me. I went to the meet and dramatically thanked all of them. I was extremely overwhelmed with there selflessness and kindness. I really learned my lesson about having a back up pair, trust me and realized that there is still really good people in this world. Thank you Katherine, the life guard that found my glasses, the manger, the diver and all the life guards for your kind hearts and not giving up!!! That's how much people at Schilitterbaun helped me. Also the had someone take us back to my car. They really have Wonderful kind heart staff. read more
