When you find a GP that you can relate to, stick with that person. Don't be lured into bulk billing for the quick things and go somewhere else for the complicated stuff. You get what you pay for. I really get a lot out of seeing my GP at East Clinic - Dr Grant Elmer. He is thorough and knowledgeable as well as being down to earth.

This medical centre has quickly become the most convenient to visit within the Goodna/ Redbank…read morePlains area for a few reasons. Firstly, located within the St. Ives Shopping Centre it is easy to access with a lot of parking, is next to a QML Pathology service and close to a pharmacy. At busy times, there are two receptionists and the centre itself is quite large with a lot of seating so you usually have some space and don't need to sit next to anyone else (let's be honest, no one likes when the only free seat is next to someone else coughing up a lung or similar) and there are currently six doctors and two nurses who work here. The best thing about this centre is definitely the waiting times; the few times I've been here, I have been seen on time and the doctor has been quick but efficient and friendly. I definitely recommend this bulk-billed medical centre.

Paid thousands of dollars in medical bills all of which came back with no definitive diagnosis. They all sent me for routine tests which came back all normal. Dr Jellett is so different. He listens to his patients and he cares!!!! My first appointment with Dr Jellett lasted two hours, he had all my blood test results for the past ten years. He sent me for numerous tests which took 3 weeks to get all the results back. Tests which other specialists should have done, but failed to do. I went back to see him 1 month later and he had a definitive diagnosis. I was placed on medication and have been healthy ever since. I have now been one of his extremely fortunate patients for the past 2 years and recommend him to anyone who is in a similar position to me. When you know something is medically wrong but no Doctor can work it out. Dr Jellett is a lot like House on television. He is brilliant at finding out what is wrong when other Doctors are unable to. He is an absolute angel and a Doctor who truly cares about the welfare of his patients. His greatest strengths, I believe are, he listens to his patients, he takes the time to investigate and does not stop searching until he finds what is wrong, and he regularly checks on your progress to see how you are going. He is an outstanding Physician and a truly inspirational and caring Doctor.
