When he arrived, he told me they raised their rates to $15 per ride. I said "wow really, since last week?" he replied "yep." So I paid $15. It was A TOTAL LIE. I accidentally left my cell phone in his cab. The next day I did a GPS search for the phone - it was AT HIS HOUSE. I called the cab company. They confirmed that the address was his, but that they could not contact him until 3PM. I went to his house at 12:00 noon. He would not answer his door. I went again around 1:30 PM - he was gone. I called the cab company and told them please to call him that I needed my phone. They said they called him and he indicated he searched his cab and my phone was not in the cab. Well - GPS doesn't lie - and how else would I know where Tim lived. I called the cops. While waiting for a call back from the cops, I called City Cab and informed him that I needed his name because I was getting the police involved. She told me his name was Tim. WITHIN 5 MINUTES, TIM CALLED ME BACK! Suddenly, he found my phone in his cab (which he indicated he had already searched). If you just need a quick ride, they're okay I guess. Just beware and DON'T LEAVE ANYTHING IN THEIR CAB - ESPECIALLY IF "TIM" IS DRIVING THE CAB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! iF anyone wants to dispute my review or challenge my encounter, i encourage you to contact me. The service was lacking; there were not too many people working there. The desk attendant was not friendly either. I saw a spill in the elevator that was not addressed until the next day. Now I love buildings and places that have that old town characteristics and this building definitely had that feel. The room (1 queen) and it had everything you would expect. Tv, fridge, microwave, etc. I was afraid the room might smell a bit musty but not at all. Our room was very clean, in fact maybe even better than some of the Hilton's I've stayed at. The bed was comfortable and the a/c holds up very well. We ran it on high almost all night, we like our room between 50-60 and it kept us cool all night. As a female, I did check in and walk around without my husband and at no time did I feel unsafe....of course though I'm from the St. Louis area lol. I can't speak for how the breakfast was since the hubs has an unnatural love for McDonald's hash browns ‍‍but the small area looked very clean and stocked. I highly recommend if you are passing through and want a nice, clean room for a decent price, put this place on your list. We will definitely stay here again when we pass through next time.

Review Visit: July 25th, 2015…read more If you have seen Close Encounters of the Third Kind, then you are very familiar with Devils Tower. This was about the final stop on a 2 week cross country trip and I am happy it was one of the last. We didn't get to get close, as we were tight on time, but still seeing it was awesome. I didn't know too much about it besides what we talked about in Geography classes in college, but I knew some of the legends and the uniqueness of the tower. It appears that there are trails around the tower you can hike. You can also climb the tower too, which is weird, since I thought it was all protected grounds by Native Americans. Maybe it's a limited window each year. Either way, if you can indeed get close, I would love to go back. I love odd, natural landmarks like this and would love to explore it up close. Wish I knew more to tell you all but maybe one day I can expand upon this post! Devils Tower is quite the landmark. It stands out when compared to everything else around it. Geologists still debate on how it is formed. Native Americans have a few folklore on how it was formed too. If you are interested in either of those, check the Website/Wiki links below.

It's also known as Mato Tipila or Bear Lodge. It is a butte, laccolithic, composed of igneous rock in the Bear Lodge Ranger District of the Black Hills, Wyoming. It is 1,267 ft above the Belle Fourche River, standing 867 ft from the summit to base. Native American people, believe that a group of girls went out to play & were spotted by several giant bears, who began to chase them. To escape the bears, the girls climbed atop a rock, fell to their knees, praying to the Great Spirit to save them. Hearing their prayers, the rock rose from the ground towards the heavens so that the bears could not reach the girls. The bears, left deep claw marks in the sides, which had become too steep to climb. Those are the marks which appear today on the sides of Devils Tower. When the girls reached the sky, they were turned into stars.
