Some background, I've taken classes with Pure Barre and Bar Method in California, and I really enjoyed them so I've been searching for barre classes in Hong Kong.
I've taken two classes here at Flex so far, both with different instructors. The first one was with a girl who was subbing in for another instructor and I was really disappointed by her. She did a lot of "floor work" that felt like very beginner warm up, but a poor warm up; I felt like I could have done 50 jumping jacks and gotten more out of it. She didn't try correcting anyone and I didn't feel sore at all after the class (and I am not a gym rat at all).
The second class was instructed by a man who studied dance in the Philippines, so I appreciated his technical knowledge in dance and form. I was definitely more sore after this class and because of that I'm willing to try another class sometime. I still think Pure Barre and Bar Method are better though.
I suppose you just have to keep trying different instructors and see which ones you prefer.
Pros:
* convenient location, just uphill from Central Station.
* several class options
* can pay per class or package
* no membership fees
* clean, tidy, water fountain, changing room with lockers
Cons:
* really depends on instructor, so just try until you find one, I guess
* very small changing room, there's only two showers read more
