This led to tensions in the class itself as I was the only one without an assigned spot and unintentionally took the spot of someone else. I notified them of this mistake and their response was lackluster. They did not offer any sort of apology for that miscommunication and even remained defensive in nature. The combination of the environment of this place with this experience made me feel unwelcome. The classes themselves were OK. I would not come here again and would not recommend it.

I love how the instructor kept us accountable and kept motivating us to keep going at the hardest of times. We were literally so sore for the rest of our trip! Not only was I stoked on the Lagree class I was welcomed by the community. After class we got great recommendations of where to have breakfast from all the locals before we headed outside to gorgeous aspen. So happy as we walked up the stairs after class we were happily reminded to get outside. A must if you are a local or traveling and want a good sweat. It's our 2nd year in Aspen around the same time- January, and we decided to sign up for their 10 pack which graciously allows you to share it with your crew. This worked so good for us since we are not here often, and never know who and how many will be up for a class. I attended 3 classes this week during my short trip and had 3 different instructors. We enjoyed them all. The space itself is very inviting, clean and accessible to any area you decided to stay in. We had super nice welcoming staff. The mat and towel was included. It was extremely difficult to book lessons as they were unavailable for most of the requests that would have worked for our schedule and getting returned calls also proved difficult and fruitless. Finally, I called and left a message that I would like to use the remainder of the package for myself and was told that the package expired. We were never given a courtesy call telling us this. Furthermore, the owner of this business treated me so rudely I was shocked. It's not like I was trying to return something that the business wouldn't be able to sell again. I paid $1100 and wanted to receive services for that investment. I had no problem with the fact that she said her prices had gone "way up". I just asked for her to give me a proposal with the adjusted prices. The only offer she extended to me was to pay an additional $750 to her! She then told me she was very nice to do this. This business has shown no respect or appreciation to us as customers and made the whole experience very unpleasant.

I…read morehad a really bad crash on the mountain yesterday causing my neck to be very sore and my hand. So I decided to call them to book a massage, never been there before so they assigned me to who was available at the time. A girl named Rosey. That ended up being the best massage I could've ever received for an injury on the mountain. Rosey is An athlete herself and understands the types of injuries that happen from crashes. She's an amazing Pilates instructor mountaineer and much more. Her gentle and authentic personality with her skill and her strength put my body back together. I am so grateful for Rosey. And for now on every time I come to Aspen I will be getting a massage by Rosey. I understand her comment that she has many loyal long-term clients. I'm one now.

Great gym, but toxic and unprofessional management…read more I've enjoyed being a member at Jean Robert's, but I am appalled by the owner's wife's behavior tonight. A member slightly lowered the music volume in the back room (it was excessively loud), and the owner's wife immediately stormed out and began a loud, aggressive argument with him, yelling, "Do not touch that!" When he tried to explain that the volume was too high, she doubled down and screamed, "Then you can go someplace else!" I chimed in to agree with him, shocked at how she was speaking to him over such a trival matter, and she told me I could 'go someplace else too.' I am stunned that a business owner would treat paying customers with such blatant hostility and tell them to leave over a simple volume request. Unprofessional, unwelcoming, and completely unacceptable. Possibly I caught her on a bad night? Jean Robert is such a nice man, says hello to everyone and always has a smile.

So, the club is fairly nice, and the massage area is all you'd expect (warm, quiet, well stocked), and the locker rooms are very passable. BUT, I expect more than just "good" from a place like this. If you're going to charge $140 for a 50 minute massage, bring the "great". Get me a steam shower or a cucumber in my water, something.
