About my preferences, after I said our budget, etc. it was so strange. It's fine to have a bubbly personality but this was off putting. Honestly one of the most unprofessional, ill informed customer client interactions. I felt like there were a lot of things not aligning for what I'd expect a professional caterer to know. She didn't even send a quote after our phone call. So while we wouldn't have gone with Zesty Gourmet anyway, the business doesn't seem to care much for clients anyway. I'm not going to remind a company that I want to pay thousands of dollars to them. Honestly just an entirely confusing, strange, and off putting experience end-to-end.

The house was beautifully decorated at the holidays. The tour guide seemed not to like or want to focus on the history of the house or the objects inside unless asked. It felt like she was bringing a lot of personal biases to her perspective, which made the experience a lot less enjoyable than it could have been otherwise. She took us through the first-floor rooms and then announced the top floor is self-guided only. At the admission price, that detracted from it being a better experience. The National Trust for Historic Preservation is the new manager of the site, and they bring a historical interpretation to the site that some visitors may not find as valuable as the tours given by the previous volunteer staff. There is a garden, a greenhouse, and a nice-sized gift shop. It's a beautiful house, and I did like getting some information on the inhabitants and the long history of the property. The presentation itself needed improvement, but the site was worth preserving.

The road down to the main building was not paved, very long and bumpy. Once you arrive to where you're ready to park there really aren't any signs directing you of where to go so we went up to someone at the big building and asked if we were at the right place to which they confirmed we were. I would suggest a larger sign on the main road stating that the entrance is coming up rather than right at the entrance. There was a very cute store inside which would have been very nice to shop at but there was only one person working the pay line which was also full of people buying drinks and cocktails. I highly suggest at least 2 people working that area in the beginning when people are arriving and definitely at intermission. We would have purchased more if we were able to get in line, purchase our items, and be back in time but we didn't think we would make it back in time. Also, when leaving any event, PLEASE be very careful. There weren't any lights leading away from the building to the parking lot which was pretty scary given that it also was not paved or a sidewalk. It was rocks/dirt and we all had to use our phones to leave. This could be dangerous for others that may have more of a difficult time seeing at night.

Getting afternoon tea together has become an annual holiday tradition with this friend (and some of our other friends), so it was great to continue this tradition at Mocatinas! The cafe is somewhat small, but they still have good seating in there. We made a reservation in advance for the tea experience, and I recommend that you do so if you plan to dine in for tea. They had not yet started their holiday-themed tea, but it was fine as they had some holiday decor (a pink Christmas tree!) already set up, so it felt festive in there. For the tea, we ordered the Strawberry Champagne Oolong. Though it has "champagne" in the name, this isn't alcoholic. It was a very sweet and delicious tea. We also ordered a pot of the Earl Grey Lavender, which was also very delicious! Our afternoon tea experience came with the traditional three-tiered tea stand, with macarons, tea sandwiches (cucumber, etc.), scones, butter, jam pastries, and petit fours. Our tea also came with a pre-course dish comprised of a small grilled cheese pastry and a small tomato soup. Everything was delicious! We had an excellent experience here. Service was friendly and efficient and very attentive. I will certainly visit again!

Unprofessional and Unacceptable Experience…read more Our experience with Fleur de Cuisine was extremely disappointing. They cancelled our scheduled walkthrough for our wedding in September at our wedding venue with only four hours' notice, which was both disruptive and unprofessional. When the walkthrough was rescheduled, their team arrived late and completely unprepared, without the necessary information or materials to conduct a proper walkthrough. Due to their behavior and lack of professionalism, they were banned by the wedding venue, and we had to find a completely new one who exceeded our expectations thankfully. Despite being unable to fulfill their obligations, Fleur de Cuisine refused to issue a refund even though they didn't even fulfill the duties that they were supposed to. For a company providing event and wedding services, this level of unreliability, poor preparation, and lack of accountability is unacceptable. I would not recommend Fleur de Cuisine and strongly advise others to proceed with caution. Brides, do NOT book with them!

Do not hire them. Disorganized and shady!…read more I hired Fleur de Cuisine (now operating as Rising Table) to cater a 50 person party. I contacted her the evening before our event to confirm an estimated ETA and didn't hear back. The day of the event, I'm texting and emailing because the party is about to start and there's no food. Finally I get her on the phone and she says she'll call me back. No surprise, she doesn't, so I call her again and again until she picks up and tells me that they didn't have my event on the books and will not be able to deliver food on time. I don't know how that happened when I emailed two weeks before the event, the night before the event, and both my invoices (I paid in full, in advance) had the event date on them. So what that tells me is that this wasn't just one bad former employee but a systemic issue with disorganization in her business. I would not trust her for another important event. And here's the kicker - even though she said she takes accountability and said she'd provide a full refund, it's been nearly a month now and she still hasn't refunded me and is now ghosting me. I had no intention of leaving a bad review, but now I'm upset because it's not right that she's holding on to over $1500 of my money. So, buyer beware!

I mean this in total honesty: we could not have had the wedding that we wanted without them. They took care of details that we didn't even know existed. Things that could have surprised us and derailed us were handled quickly, expertly, and seamlessly by Ashly and her team. Plus, they're absolutely delightful people. When any of my friends, family, or loved ones in the DMV get married, I hope Ashly is available to work with them.

I truly don't know where to begin. I know when searching wedding vendors, many of them have 5 stars…read moreand it can be a challenge selecting which vendor is right for you. However, Ashly and her team deserve 10 stars! I have never in my entire life met someone as professional, organized, kind-hearted and caring as Ashly from B.Mingled. Let me start with the software B.Mingled provides, Aisle Planner. This software is a GAME CHANGER for wedding planning. Before I signed with Ashly, I was literally planning my wedding on various sticky notes. Aisle planner has EVERYTHING from your guest list, to contract uploads, to payment reminders, to a very detailed checklist that is organized by months leading up to the wedding, to the seating chart customized to your venue layout. And the best part? Ashly helps you manage the software. I am not sure if other planner/coordinator companies offer this software, but what I do know is that Ashly & her team are simply unmatched. I hired Ashly as our Day-of-coordinator, but she is so much more than that - she is ALWAYS there when you need her even months before the wedding. She was more like a 2-3 month coordinator with the emails, texts and calls and always happy to help with anything we needed (I know I had a ton of stupid questions and she was always more than happy to help). Ashly is extremely detail oriented. She provided a very detailed schedule to me and all of my vendors, which was amazing as it eliminated any confusion. I have been in many weddings where no one knows what is going on or when to be here or there. I shared this timeline with my wedding party and there was never any question of where people needed to be at what time, and that really made a huge difference for the flow of the wedding. And to be honest it was INCREDIBLE as the Bride to. not have to answer a million and one questions from everyone because every last detail was on the timeline. One thing I really loved about Ashly was that she told me she would not contact me for any reason on my wedding day. She took down our MOH and BM's numbers and contacted them all day if any minor issues popped up or if she was just checking in to see how I was doing. She did not want me to worry about anything, and it was so nice to just be able to relax and trust that everything was taken care of - which it was! On the day of my wedding, I was staying in a cottage onsite of the venue which is where I had my girls come for hair and makeup. Ashly arrived to the venue, made sure everything was going well, and then loaded up her car with all of our decor items for the ceremony/reception (multiple boxes) and transported them to the venue. I had a couple sticky notes on some of the decor with some instruction, but other decor items didn't and I trusted her to place them where she thought looked good and holy moly did she do an incredible job! My reception space was absolutely breathtaking because of her setup. Also, at the end of the night, I did not have to worry about A THING. Ashly and her assistant, Alyssa, carefully organized and packed up all of our belongings and transported all of my boxes back to the cottage at the end of the night. This is the best part. Ashly literally saved my wedding. Unfortunately, two of my other vendors were absolutely horrible and made me cry multiple times throughout the day/evening. Not only did Ashly have my back and stood up for me, but she made sure that I didn't have to deal with the vendors face to face and she took total charge in fixing the issues. It was so nice having someone go to battle for me so I could just enjoy myself and my loved ones. Not only that, but she always made sure I was doing great and always made sure I had a drink in my hand! Both Ashly and Alyssa were always there for me and supporting me. I never had to go and search for them, they were always nearby and ready to help with whatever I needed. I can imagine having to deal with the vendor crisis was chaotic, but you would never know as Ashly has this incredible calm and collected presence that fills the room. The fact that she was running my entire wedding AND STILL made so much time to check in on me and get me anything I needed is truly remarkable. Not only was Ashly an amazing coordinator, but she was an AMAZING FRIEND on my wedding day. I do not know what I would have done without Ashly. I truly cannot picture my wedding without her and I certainly will never forget her. She was hands down the best vendor we hired for our wedding. I truly believe she is the best coordinator in the game! If I could give you one piece of advice for your wedding, CHOOSE ASHLY/THE B.MINGLED TEAM AS YOUR WEDDING COORDINATOR. Trust me, you will not regret it.

Maybe the staff has changed since the older reviews, but our experience was excellent from start to finish. We hired ACE to provide a 60'x40' tent for our farm wedding last weekend, along with chairs and tables and a dance floor for 90+ guests, and they delivered all of that easily and professionally. But where they REALLY shone was in our last-minute additional needs - when we discovered the weather forecast for our wedding had changed just 2 days before the event to be cold and rainy. ACE had already installed the giant tent, but we now desperately needed them to add tent walls and a heating unit inside the tent. Natalie at ACE was great from start to finish, but she REALLY pulled through for us here and was able to schedule her already over-booked crew to come back out with 24 hours notice and add the walls and heater. Thanks to her and the rest of ACE, our guests were protected from the rain and cold, and everyone had an incredible time. Highly recommend using ACE after this experience!
