I liked the design of the Hawaiian islands (logo of 808) on the back top in the middle of the shirt, when it arrived the feel of the shirt feels nice as well. Definitely not that hard kind of cotton feel I hate but a little on the softer side. Communication throughout the process was great, shipping and delivery of the product was all within a week. Kinda cool that a postcard was placed in the package thanking me for the purchase and supporting local shops, it also shows who packed it for accuracy, a small 808 sticker and best of all a discount code for buy one get the 2nd 50% off. Instead, I ended up finding the regularly-priced shirt I passed up on at their Ala Moana Center location as my second ever purchase. SERVICE: The sole, young gal working was friendly, professional and even walked my bag around to me from behind the counter. Very classy. The only other time that happened was at Nordstrom Ala Moana. The quality of clothing is terrible, but I have no choice so I proceeded to shop. When I went to check out, they told me they would not accept my credit card because I did not have a picture ID. Not carrying my entire purse to the beach, of course I did not have it. It was not as much what they said, but how they said it. Demeaning and disrespectful. Telling me that all others find it necessary for their safety, and what was wrong with me. Laughing at me and raising their voices. It was both employees there. They might hate their job or hate tourists. But please don't take it out on us.

That was a bargain! However, looking through the store, as I remember from last time, everything is pretty pricey. There was a used tablecloth (was the same mud cloth table covering from Mama's Fish House) and they wanted $12 for it. I would have spent $4 for the fabric, but not $12. I went to the markdown rack and I pulled out a dress and it was marked down half from $300. They had lovely things, but I don't shop for high end clothing. If you like expense things that you can get a bit cheaper, then this is the place for you. The clerk was very sweet. And I am happy with my dress!! I'm sure when we are in Kihei in the future I'll still stop by there. Who knows I might find another bargain!

This past Saturday I went in to the Kihei shop and was the only customer, along with my husband who sat down to wait for me. We were not greeted or helped. The gal who worked there just kept putting clothes on the racks and acted as if I was invisible. I live in Wailuku and we drove special to Kihei to visit Mahina so I could get outfits for some special upcoming events. I had a bunch of things to try on and had to ask the sales gal to try things on. The only thing she said to me on my visit was, "You can pick any room." After trying on what I had, I was going to purchase a cute dress I liked. When I walked out of the dressing room I received no acknowledgment from the sales gal, not even a "how was it?" Just terrible service. I ended up putting everything back on the racks MYSELF and my husband and I walked out. I am a 53 year old professional woman and was planning on spending a lot of money that day in Mahina, a store I love. I felt so horrible. My husband was in shock at how I was treated. I will never go back there again.
