When you visit you may eat at it's restaurant overlooing beautiful cliffs and the Mediterranean Sea. The food is very rich and french. The ambience is casual yet elegant. After or before eating you may tour the rose colored villa filled with antique furniture, art, and a porcelain collection. However, the true attraction is the stunning garden. The Ministry of Culture designates this garden as one of the most remarkable gardens of France. It did not disappoint with it's breath taking views, fountains, hidden nooks, flowers, landscape design and all the statues and other whimsical features on display. i would not make the long, winding, trip up many mountains just for the restaurant but would happily return again for the full experience offered. A small parking lot is accessible at the bottom of the estate but wear good shoes because you need to walk up hill for a distance to access the restaurant, villa, and gardens.

I…read morewas still recovering from my chocolate hangover (courtesy of Jean-Luc Pele) so ordered the lemon tart and this pistachio mousse and sponge cake type dessert. By the time I was able to sit down and eat them an hour or two later, the lemon tart was a bit melted but still delicious. It was a nice balance between sweet and tart and I really enjoyed the meringue drops that decorated the base. The pistachio dessert was also really nice and had some very unique flavours. Hope to return next year!
