I got my nose pierced here over 3 weeks ago. I wanted to wait to review the shop until it was healing. I had a 5-star experience from beginning to end. You can make appointments online and can modify appointments easily. I was even able to reschedule online without affecting anything. When I got there they had safety procedures in place to combat COVID which I appreciated, it was clean and bright. Hades was amazing, he made me feel at ease and his two apprentices were good-natured and clearly learned a lot from him. I had my nose pierced about 10 years ago and had to take it out for work at the time. This time it hurt so much less than I remember. After the first week all the swelling was done and it feels great. Their piercing aftercare spray is some sort of magic potion. It's all I used to clean it. No bumps, no buildup, no pain. NOT CLEAN, DID NOT CHANGE GLOVES AFTER TOUCHING SEVERAL DIRTY SURFACES BEFORE PIERCING. DIRTY PIERCING CHAIRS, CONSTANTLY DISTRACTED, VOICED FEAR OF PIERCING AND MORE. The attending piercer that was supposed to be teaching failed miserably. Paid no attention or made corrections when needed. I FAILED as a parent for not walking out the second i picked up on it all. Took my 14 year old for their first piercing, they chose the nostril. The staff was very friendly and asked preferred pronouns which was awesome and one of the main reasons we chose Flesh. Pricing was absolutely legit. 45 bucks for apprentice piercing with select titanium jewelry included. Great right!? Well yeah, EXCEPT. We were not only unimpressed by the lack of professionalism, we were downright disgusted at moments. As a parent, i should have absolutely spoken up, and i didnt. I didnt want to cause drama or ruin the birthday for my kid, but I accept that i fucked up. The piercing itself is fine. BUT the piercer wore the same gloves after touching everything in the room. The chairs, their face, the counter tops. Everything. The chair for clients was literally visibly dirty and old. The piercer let down the dirty chair to make it flat and STILL didnt change gloves! I kept shooting looks at the person overseeing the apprentice, but they barely (if at all) noticed. Both the apprentice and teacher never stopped talking. And barely to the client. They were distracted and the apprentice​ kept saying things that are ok to think as a new piercer but not SAY. Like "wait, i have to do this with my other hand!?" And "your nervousness makes me nervous." The overseeing "professional" never seemed to notice. Just kept being distracted and talking about all their body mods, and other shit with my wife. The two workers talked over each other so much, it's a wonder it only took an hour to get done. All of which is not at all how to care for a client. Especially a person new to piercings. But above all, it was NOT STERILE AT ALL. It was like they didnt even think about that when it came to THEIR HANDS. I had to reassure my kid when the piercer would talk about being scared. I know i should have called out the cleanliness and attention issues. My wife didnt notice and so i was misreading her reactions and thought, itll be ok, we'll keep it clean. This is NOT a professional place. I dont want them to fail. The website said POC owned and we need more of that as well as queer and trans affirming independent places like this. But they need actual leadership and serious training. Advocate for yourself and others if you go here. They need to change or stop until they have appropriate proceedures..so dissapointing. If this had not been a bday gift and the only place we could afford we would have left. In retrospect, i messed up and should have left. Luckily, my kid ADORES the piercing. And it is in the right place. And while i have zero idea what they put in their "aftercare spray" (despite asking twice) i got it becuase im truly hoping its good enough to cover their asses on lack of heigene. We are watching closely, and taking very good care of it. Its in a good place (thanks to my wife and kid advocating for that). So all is good in the end. So far. They have a LONG way to go to be a good spot. I hope they figure it out and no one is harmed seriously. read more

Mikaela was an amazing piercer! My sister and I went in to get our noses pierced. I had gotten piercings before and knew everything that was going to happen. However, my sister had no clue what was going to happen. Mikaela took the time to explain what she was going to do before she did it...literally every step!! She was amazing! She made us both feel comfortable in the environment while getting our piercing. She also played whatever type of music we wanted! Hades came in towards the end of my piercing and praised the work that she had done for both of us. You could definitely tell that this was not only a great environment to get pierced at but to also work at!! Everything was very clean and the atmosphere in the "studio" was very calming!! It was clean, quiet, and welcoming. Hades did my piercing, and he was great to talk to and very kind. I originally came in for a venom tongue piercing, and Hades quickly told me about all the problems with that type of piercing. They were things that I didn't know about or consider. He was very informative, respectful, and professional. I changed my piercing to gauges because he spotted a very hard to see vein in the center of my tongue. Hades probably saved me from a costly hospital bill at best. The vein wouldn't have stopped bleeding if I got it pierced. This would be the only place that I would recommend to people.
