So there was a May Day festival going on the two days we were in Frankfurt which was amazing…read morebecause it meant loads of outdoor street vendors, including this shop which had set up an outdoor sausage tent. I'm not sure if they always have an outdoor option, but they did the night we walked by and I'm sure glad we stopped.
Now, first of all I was lured in by the smells of brats cooking, then hooked by the sight of them. Once I saw they also had beer on tap I was sold. I was a bit nervous because I literally speak no German, but I was assisted by a friendly local in line and then found out that the staff all speaks fluent English, and is actually insanely friendly. After some chatting I got what I was looking for which was a brat, some fries, and a solid German beer.
Overall the brat was amazing, in part due to the homemade bun, and the beer was thirst quenching. The fries were actually really basic and nothing to write home about, but I'm landing on five stars for this place because I did not find any servers that were more friendly than the folks working at this sausage stand, and I'd absolutely recommend going back to this place if you're looking for a satisfying and affordable meal in Frankfurt.
