T J Services is an independent garage that I think has been around for 7-8 years. The owner, an…read moreebullient chap, is a highly experience motor engineer who tells me he has a penchant for welding. They've been looknig after various of our cars for 6 years now and have provided a timely and attentive service. They're not phased by new, old, rare or weird vehicles e.g. Lada 44, Alfa 166, Hot Rods, Classics. I'm an experienced DIY motorist so I like to think I know when someone's trying to pull the wool over your eyes. I'm confident that T J and his team do not do this. After all, most of their trade is very local and, as the saying goes, you don't s* in your own back yard!! They are, however, extremely busy (the owner would love to open a new garage to cope with the workload) so customers are advised to be accommodating since the staff are only human, even if they do their best. Get the staff at a quieter time and they'll tell you some good stories, helping you to build that desirable relationship that established mutual trust.

Under new management! Awful place! Don't go there!! We used…read morethem before and they were good. My car went in for MOT & Service failed MOT on nearside rear brake pad. They tried to tell us it needed a new disc as well! saying a stone had been stuck in there causing damage! Husband went down and found no evidence of damage to disc! So just had new pad as per MOT They lost the cover off the screenwash reservoir! Tried to tell us it wasn't therein the first place!! it was!! Didn't reset the service light, didn't stamp service book!! Manager told us he would order a new cover! Said it would be 2 days! went back and told it would another 3 days as it hadn't come in! Said they would sort out service light and stamp when I came back. I've hardly used my car just a couple of short runs, then yesterday the sump cover came loose as I was driving home from Farnborough! Drove it straight to garage! By this time cover was making a noise as was dragging on the ground! Seems like when they did the oil change didn't put cover back on properly!! They fixed it, don't know how well yet until I get someone else to look at it!! Stamped book but were unable to turn service light off! so will need to go somewhere else to get that checked! still haven't got screenwash cover!! will never ever use them again!

Very disappointing experience - not the professional diagnostic promised…read more I booked my car in with VolcanMotors for what was clearly advertised and verbally confirmed as a professional and detailed diagnostic. When I made the booking, the owner assured me they would carry out proper due diligence and identify the root cause of the issue. Unfortunately, the experience fell far short of that expectation. After a few hours, I was told the "diagnostic" had been done using a diagnostic machine only, with no meaningful additional investigation. There was no visual inspection, no deeper fault-finding, and no attempt to properly validate the issue. They simply repeated the same fault code information I was already aware of. Based on this very superficial check, they quickly recommended a major and expensive repair -- without demonstrating any thorough analysis to justify it. When I asked reasonable questions to understand their process and reasoning, I was met with a rude and dismissive attitude rather than a professional explanation. What's most disappointing is not just the lack of diagnosis, but the lack of honesty and professionalism. If the garage does not have the expertise, time, or willingness to properly diagnose a vehicle, it would be far more professional to say so upfront rather than provide a costly recommendation based on a basic scan. I trusted them to treat both the job and me as a customer with professionalism and respect. Instead, I received neither. I would not return to this garage and would not trust their diagnostic conclusions.
