The owner Jim is a top bloke that will always do his best for you at a price you can afford. Straight up honest and truthful and doesn't try and blag you into any work that doesn't need doing (like some garages do). His team work on all types of motors even the more obscure American models such as Dodge, Chrysler etc. My only regret is I'm now posted to a separate base and I'll no doubt struggle to find an equally good garage to get my car fixed!

From the outside it looks like a tired mechanic garage offering tyre changing and car servicing…read moreetc. Once you get inside or ring up, you find that their prices are very competitive with other tyre and servicing garages in the area and if you need something doing (e.g. replacing a tyre) you can drive up there and it is usually done within 15minutes as all the tyres are kept there. Occasionally queues form on the weekend but this is to be expected as its when most people have days off. Good garage and good selection of all types of tyres. Worth a visit

Since they are a tyre specialist and I knew my tyres were knocking on a bit I was amazed when they only replaced two rather than all five since I wouldn;t have argued and told them over the phone that in advance. Well worth using them for what needs to be done in the tyre and exhaust front.

Had our car serviced and MOT'd there after a recommendation…read more Total cost was much more than initially indicated. They put on new wipers without my permission. They were poor cheap quality and cost nearly a tenner each. Worst of all they over filled my engine with oil. I went back the next day and they used a machine to siphon some out. It still wasn't enough. I lost my faith in them and siphoned off more oil myself. They are part of the 'Good garage scheme' but this scheme is owned by Forte who promote the selling of their own engine flush product so is not really independant.

The staff are all really friendly and helpful in allowing you to pick the best tyres to suit your needs with a mixture of drive in ramps and normal car bays. Think they have the facilities to fix tracking problems with cars as well. If they dont have the tyres in stock, they have to drive to their warehouse to get them but in my experience it didnt take more than 10 mins, plus if you phone up beforehand they will be there waiting for you. Nice area to sit and wait with a tv and coffee machine. Great garage

It…read morewas Saturday morning and I thought my chances of getting it done the same day were not good, but I rang Hometyre and within 10 mins they had rung back confirming they had a choice of three different tyres that would fit the car and could be with me an hour and a half later to fit the tyres.
