I'm extremely disappointed with my experience with this company. For our March 2026 wedding, my fiancé and I intentionally wanted to support local -owned businesses rather than fly vendors into the island. A friend recommended this company through a local St. Thomas Facebook group, where they had glowing reviews. We booked flights from Toronto to St. Thomas in March 2025 to meet with them in person. During that trip, they showed us several venues suitable for our 120-150 guest wedding and connected us with an amazing chef and cake vendor. Within three days, we had locked in some of our major vendors. Ms. Amelisa gave us sweet auntie vibes, very warm and welcoming which made us really want to work with her and her family business. The problems began after signing the contract. It was vague, not itemized, and lacked specifics regarding décor and rental items. Initially, we were told they offered full wedding planning services, but whenever I asked for recommendations for DJs, photographers, or videographers, I was told those vendors were unavailable locally and that I should fly people in instead. I repeatedly asked for photos of their décor inventory or some type of visual mock-up based on the Pinterest boards I had shared since August 2025. Instead, I was told to browse their Facebook page. Eventually, I was informed that full planning services were never included in my contract due to my budget and that I should reconnect in December 2025 to finalize décor for our March 2026 wedding. When I asked if I could add planning services later, since I was coordinating from Canada rather than the USVI, I was told, "That ship done sailed at this point." Because of this, we started working with a wedding coordinator (who was originally our travel and board person but once she heard our struggles she volunteered her coordinating services) to help manage contracts, room blocks, and vendors. After that, communication noticeably changed with Flawless. Calls and emails became less warm and more difficult. In December, when we attempted to begin décor discussions, we were pushed to January instead. During that period, the owner frequently went on vacation without providing another reliable point of contact. Her daughter occasionally stepped in and was honestly the most helpful person in the business. Flawless should consider making the daughter take over the business. When décor conversations finally began, I was suddenly told that several items and concepts I had discussed since August were not included in the contract. Btw my cousin and I made our own mock up using things we found on her Facebook and was still told no! When we asked for photos of the chairs included, we were told to contact the venue ourselves. Eventually, the daughter sent photos of white plastic chairs, which were not what we wanted or discussed. We were then quoted $25 per wooden chair for 120 guests, while another décor company later quoted us only $10 per chair for the same style. Throughout the process, I constantly had to send follow-up emails documenting prior conversations because they wouldn't send anything afterwards and I wanted to keep track. When we finally received a "mock-up" of the reception design, it consisted mainly of X's and O's with labels rather than actual visuals or design concepts. Ultimately, the company quit one month before our wedding because they could not work with our wedding coordinator, who was simply trying to get them to do their job. We wasted 9 months working with a company who was willing to drop us a month before our wedding. It was cruel but life goes on and I wish them nothing but the best. In my opinion, this company may be better suited for smaller local weddings. For larger-scale destination weddings requiring detailed coordination and consistent communication, their system did not work well for us. read more

Amelisa Todman from Flawless Weddings & Events of the Virgin Islands threw us an absolute dream destination wedding. From the table settings to the cake to the flowers to the seating and the arch on the beach, everything was absolutely stunning! The food was mouthwatering and the guests couldn't stop raving about it. The photographer was incredible and captured the moment perfectly. The price was very reasonable compared to other vendors in the islands. She was extremely well organized and everything was included, including transportation to and from the resort to Megan's bag where our wedding and receptionwas at for us and all of our guests. I was told my a friend that the lady that owns this business does good work. I've seen pictures and it looks like she does. First planning a wedding, I have no idea what to do get or even say. As a wedding planner it's your job to have the patience to help people understand these things. She did not take the time do any of that. First she sent me an invoice that had a list of things, an overall total price and no prices next to each item. We had to request an invoice that had a price break down. The communication was lacking a great deal. She never took the time to sit down and help us figure out what would work for us. We took things off the invoice that we did not feel was needed for our small event. I had to call, text and email to get in touch with her. She then finally answered only to tell me that she booked someone else for the date, dude to us not wanting a coordinator. Again we never planned a wedding so we thought the price for the planner was included, she stated that we took her off as the coordinator so with that she booked another couple for our date. That could be a lie but, either way that's not the way to do business. I've looked at back at messages to make sure I didn't disrespect her or say anything out of the way and I did not. She has been a wedding planner for years so we can't be the first couple that didn't know what they wanted and needed a little extra tlc. Breaking down prices and helping us understand what each item is and who is gonna be doing what for the wedding is part of the job. But, I did not like the way she acted in the end, that could have been handled and communicated whole lot better. I tried to be patient as well understanding that she may have other events dealing with but, I would not recommend her to anyone. I also found out that IM NOT THE FIRST PEROSN she did this too. I booked with Amelisa a year out from our wedding date, destination St. John. The reason I chose Flawless Weddings & Events, was because of Amelisa, she gave me a feeling of trust, honesty, and absolute support to make our day a success. I did have some communication with Amelisa prior to the wedding but most of it took place about 30 days prior. Given this was a destination wedding, we wanted to make it as easy as possible so we did not have to worry about every little detail. We shared our vision, colors and ideas, and trusted her to take care of the details. The decorations for the ceremony were more than I had hoped for and added levels of detail that made it perfect. My guests were also very pleased with the interaction with her, she and her daughter were very friendly and ready to entertain until the ceremony started. I purchased the elopement package. The initial interaction was good - but as soon as I paid, the issues began. It started with Amelisa (owner?) Not responding in a timely manner, or at all. After calling her out numerous times, I was told they were busy. When I asked Amelisa how the marriage application was coming (a month into it) she stated I never paid for it (she had not asked for the $, I didn't even realize it wasn't included in the package, plus why wasn't I asked for it? Why did I need to follow up?) I paid. Then she never submitted my marriage application until the WEEK BEFORE the wedding. I know this because she again asked for my address that was previously provided because 'the court needed it'. Amelisa didn't book the site until I called her out on it (it was just pretty klip point on the beach). She tried to make me pay the site fee (after she told me it was free since I was staying on the resort). We get there. THIS WOMAN WAS 45 MINUTES LATE TO THE CEREMONY. The officiant WAS LATE. It does not end there - Amelisa stated at the Wedding (this was sat when we got married) - to call her Monday so she can arrange to give us our marriage license. I reached out Monday and heard back Tuesday. I asked about extra copies and she said they were $10 (court said $3) so I asked if she was charging a commission - at this point, after being called out, she then said "Sorry for the miscommunication, the package you bought does not include any certified copies. The document will be at the court. Please stop at the court before leaving the island to get the copies you would like." At this point I sent her a screen shot of the website which clearly stated that it did. I was fuming at this point and called by phone. She stated that she would not have it for me tomorrow (Wednesday), but Thursday is doable (we left on Thursday - which she knew). So, she says, she can meet me at the airport. I clearly can not rely on them, I end up going to the court Thursday morning before we left, got there when they opened and she STILL had not done the paperwork after I told her I had to drop the car off at 9am Thurs. So, the court calls her and she showed up at 915....I did all the running around at the courthouse, paid the THREE Dollars per copy and left. Also to note, when she showed up at court (and clearly knew she was wrong) SHE HID FROM US. Didn't say hi, apologies, or anything. I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy. read more

I decided to have a destination wedding in Saint Thomas even though I had never been there before needless to say I was super stressed out. I had over 100 guests coming to the island my husband is Nigerian and I am Ugandan and wanted to have a traditional African ceremony and not the typical American ceremony. I feel like I was pretty vague on my vision and somehow ami pulled it off better than I could have ever imagined. AmI and her daughter turned into family for me they answered all my questions no matter what time of the day or night, I even called Amy one time at 11 PM freaking out about my officiant canceling on me 2wks before the big day and she told me "no problem dear" and literally had everything fixed in a matter of two days. If you want someone who is going to plan your wedding as if it was their own down to the smallest detail these are the people to get, truly they became like family to me. 10/10 recommend read more

As excited as my daughter was to work with Flawless Weddings, it turned out to be a waste of time & energy. Amelisa was perfect in the beginning of our communications but as my daughter tried to make sense of things, which included changes in the services she would need from Flawless Weddings, the communication became less & less. Not being familiar with the vendors on the island, we needed her guidance but were left to figure things out on our own. We have messages that were not responded to for days/weeks at a time. As entrepreneurs, we believe that customer service is key to a successful business relationship regardless of the challenges. We did not feel comfortable or confident in the services Amelisa claimed Flawless Weddings would deliver. We requested a refund, considering that the few contacts we did make with vendors were made by us, to no avail. Amelisa made $500 doing absolutely nothing & felt okay with ignoring our request for a refund with a reasonable explanation. All that we can say at this point is be mindful of your choice when choosing your planner & we wish Amelisa & Flawless Weddings the best in her/their future endeavors. read more

I must start by recognizing the phenomenal talent, creativity and kindness that Amelisa possesses and demonstrates within her wedding coordination business. She is a true gem - a one of a kind woman who took my words from 3,786 miles away and turned them into the most beautiful wedding I have ever witnessed! It began with a lot of research in trying to find a wedding planner on the island of St. Thomas, where my fiancé and I knew we wanted to be married. After much searching, we stumbled upon Amelisa's company, Keya's Exquisite Touch, and the rest is history! Her prices were fair and easy to understand, and whenever we visited her website we were greeted by Amelisa herself, asking if we'd like to chat and if we had any questions. Her website is perfectly organized - easy to find information, beautiful pictures from other weddings and a classy, elegant look. We found just what we'd been searching for in a wedding that took place while our cruise ship was docked in port. We knew Amelisa was "the one" the first time we spoke to her over the phone. She answered all of our questions, gave suggestions that we had not even considered, and through it all made us comfortable with her easy going style and infectious laugh. She made everything simple and easy from the get-go - organizing the financial aspects of the ceremony, getting our paperwork in, and answering all of our e-mails in a very timely fashion all solidified the trust we'd put in her. She worked with us in the financial department, arranging less expensive transportation and finding alternatives to more expensive items so we could still accomplish the "feel" of the tropical wedding we'd hoped for, but within our teacher-salary budgets. The day of our wedding, I was a mess! I was so nervous, having created a ceremony from across an entire continent and putting all of my hopes and trust into a woman I'd never met. In a few minutes, after disembarking our cruise ship, I met Amelisa and my worries subsided. She was warm, confident, and calm. She was exactly what I needed that day to pacify my apprehension, and she did everything with a loving approach. We went to the courthouse where she brought my mom and I water while we waited, and then were off to Magen's Bay Beach, the site of our ceremony. She had a wonderful driver who helped my mom and I in the car, while Amelisa rode and guided us the entire way, cheerfully talking with us as she answered phone calls and kept her staff up-to-date on any last-minute changes and decisions. We approached Magen's Bay Beach and I was floored - she had not only taken my vision and made it a reality, but she made it better than I'd ever imagined! She added details to the ceremony site that made me feel like she truly understood what it was that I'd wanted my whole life! From the conch shells and palms lining the curved aisle, to white chair covers with teal sashes that match the Caribbean Sea, to a beautiful arbor of palms that created a heavenly backdrop, she created an even better scene than which had been living in my head for the past year and a half. The decorations were dazzling, but it didn't stop there. Amelisa's staffers were outstanding! Each one helped in such a large way, from the drivers who kept my fiancé and I calm during the transport, to her right-hand woman, who kept my dress out of the sand and my bouquet appropriately tilted during all of our pictures, to the photographer and videographer, who professionally captured the love that we shared that day. Each person was highly-qualified and hard-working. They, too, seemed happy to share in our special day and eager to assist us in any way possible. Everyone worked harmoniously to make this day the best day of our lives, and I truly believe it all comes back to Amelisa. Her passion for weddings and understanding of her customers make her simply THE best. I cannot tell you how PERFECT she made the day of July 9, 2012, but trust me when I say that I feel Amelisa is a part of our lives forever because she made all of our dreams come true for myself, my fiancé, and our families. Keya's Exquisite Touch planned our beach wedding on St. Thomas. We were on a Carnival Cruise, and needed someone who could have everything set up, so that we could just show up once we got into port, and get married. Before choosing Keya's I priced about 10 different wedding planners, that I had found through internet searches. Amelisa (coordinator for KET) always responded very promptly to my e-mails. Not only were KET's services competitively priced,($1000 less than some others I found) but I had kind of picked apart a wedding package, and then added what we wanted, and she sent me an itemized price list right away. Other planners kept sending me general e-mails back with packages that weren't exactly what I wanted, so I could never get an accurate price. Communication was one of the most important things to me, since we were having to trust that we could just show up, and everything would be perfect. My e-mails were always responded to within a day, if not within minutes. Upon arrival the day of our wedding, everything was in place, and absolutely beautiful! KET does an excellent job decorating. The minister was very nice, and did a great job with our ceremony, and the photographer did very well too. They also went above and beyond, and provided us a free cake for photographs and for our guests, since we hadn't wanted one in our original package.
