My friend ordered the seafood platter with fried cod, fried shrimp, and fried scallops. The fries came with gravy and breadcrumbs. He said it was the best fried fish he had yet in Newfoundland.

This is our second visit, having been…read morehere two years ago as part of our Iceland cruise, so I was already somewhat familiar with the area. After arriving, I ventured off the ship on my own and made my way to Water Street for a little shopping. While exploring the area, I came across this charming coffee shop. Esther and Jomana were working behind the counter today, and both were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and warm. I ordered a hot mocha latte, a Portuguese tart, and a Nutella strawberry brioche, all of which were homemade. Everything was fresh, delicious, and beautifully prepared. The mocha latte was rich and comforting, while the pastries were the perfect sweet treats to enjoy during an afternoon of exploring the city. I thoroughly enjoyed everything I ordered and was very happy with my choices. Combined with the excellent service from Esther and Jomana, it made for a wonderful stop during my afternoon in St. John's. I would gladly return the next time I am in town and highly recommend this coffee shop to anyone looking for delicious homemade pastries, excellent coffee, and genuine Newfoundland hospitality.
