It is a dive bar. Bar food I would give a 2. If it was the only restaurant opened I would eat there again. Service was good.

Fireball Wings & Philly

Let me take a moment to extol the virtues of possibly the best restaurant in Commerce. Fireball…read moreWings & Philly serves wings, Phillies, and more, but not Fireball whiskey sadly. There's a lot of interesting looking items on the menu, but I come here for the wings. I usually order a 10 wing combo with fries and a drink. At ~$15, it's not particularly cheap, but it's roughly in line with the current market. Choose from ~29 flavors. I honestly don't necessarily have a go to. I also would like to recommend Fireball consider adding a spicy barbecue sauce as one of the flavor options. The wings and fries have been perfect every single visit. It's honestly remarkable that they haven't missed yet considering how many times I've visited. As with anything, this is of course a matter of personal preference. I'm sure some may prefer extra crispy. They'll, of course, happily oblige any customer who requests it. Among the many great things about this restaurant is the fact that they don't nickel-and-dime you. All flats or all drums often carries a surcharge, but not at this restaurant. Some places (I'm looking at you Zaxby's) are very stingy with sauces. I'm sure there are hard limits to how much they will give for free, but I once saw the owner give a regular customer a few ramekins of yum yum sauce for no charge, even though the customer was prepared to pay. I usually choose to dine in, and the dining room is pretty comfortable. There are a ton of condiments available, including lemon pepper and Cajun seasoning. The drink options are standard in some ways but unique in others, with the option for Fruit Punch. and this Peach Drink, along with the usual soda favorites. I agree with Denise. I'd say this is probably the best restaurant between Atlanta and Charlotte.

It was busy enough to make fast food look fast, but it wasn't slow for a normal dine in experience. I wasn't sure at first what to expect when the response to my question of "what's good" was "Everything. That's why this place is called Ain't It Guud!" So I got a burger, my wife got the chicken tenders, and my son got the grilled shrimp po' boy sandwich. Plus we got appetizers of hush puppies and mozzarella sticks. The appetizers were good. But the real magic happened when they brought the main course plates out. My wife really liked the fried chicken tenders, but she loved the fries! I tried a couple while we were waiting on my burger and they were really good! My son bit into his po' boy, and his eyes lit up and he made a sound that let us know his tongue had tasted magic. When my burger arrived, I ate a fry, and then took a bite off my burger. Now I don't really remember eating my burger. I remember savoring the flavor, but I never set it down and ate another fry until the burger was gone! I cannot think of a better compliment than that! It was magical. The crazy thing is that it wasn't even on the menu. I had wanted a Philly cheesesteak sandwich, but they had a huge rush on baked potatoes with Philly cheesesteak as the topping that they were out of the meat. So when I asked if I could get a cheeseburger with the Philly toppings of onions, peppers, and mushrooms, with that cheese, she had to double check first. I'm telling you, I have eaten at a LOT of diners, and had a LOT of special burgers. But this is in my TOP TWO OF ALL TIME. I have a review of a place in the ghetto in East St. Louis called Tasteeburger. And the burger here at Ain't It Guud is easily just as good. I hate to say better just because there might be a recency bias involved. But I can confidently say it's the best burger I've had outside of the state of Illinois!
