The hotel is up to par with many boutique hotels that we've stayed in countrywide. The decor is classy and decorated with lovely old pictures of Boonville, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The lobby had a cute sitting area and a breakfast room, plus they were well equipped with maps for snowmobiling, and the local area. Our room was roomy, clean with a comfy bed, a mini fridge, and had plenty of info about the surrounding towns including restaurants, and fun local activities. If I wasn't a native, this would be certainly helpful.

The lobby is very rustic and comfortable with couches by a fireplace. The rooms are basic but comfortable. During my 3 day stay I did not have any issues and slept well. Breakfast is included and very standard - coffee from a machine, cereal and bagels, along with a waffle machine. In the area this is a great lodging option. We were traveling for work and our rate was very affordable as a result. The staff was nice and helpful when we had questions.

The lobby is nicely decorated and has some seating. The hotel is two levels, but there is no elevator so request a room on the lower level if you have mobility concerns. The room was pretty sparse but clean as I mentioned before. A small tv, microwave and fridge were provided. The bedding could be better. Instead of a warm comforter, there's little more than a thin blanket given to sleep with. There's an extra blanket in the dresser if needed. Our room faced the back of the property which was quiet. Our friend's room faced the parking lot and they could hear people drinking and talking outside until 3AM. The continental breakfast provided is good enough if you need a quick morning bite. Though if you want a full breakfast, go to the Center St diner, about a 5 min drive from the hotel. They don't have online booking so you have to call up and relay all of your information over the phone to book. They take a one night deposit at the time of booking. The onsite restaurant called Boondocks is pretty large and had some good food. Your room comes with a free drink token for Boondocks. They are open until 12AM. Overall, this was a decent stay in the town. I believe it may be the only hotel around.

This is an older motel but the owners do a great job at keeping the place up to date…read more The place is clean and you will get a decent night of sleep. The beds are of good quality (better than at the Edge) but here you get more the feeling of a motel (as opposed to a nicer and newer lodge like at the Edge). Limited staff, so the front desk closes at 10 PM (which means you will need to call ahead if you plan on arriving post hours and they will leave your keys on the front desk for you). Limited staff also means no flexibility on getting an early breakfast (it starts at 6 AM but not sooner) and the choices are limited. Other negatives: no coffee makers in the room, no shampoo. Again, the Ridge View does the job but a lot of the amenities we are typically used to these days are missing.

Staff were clueless on how to accommodate guests. We we rudely and wrongfully accused of smuggling drugs into the room. They even threatened to call the police on us. She also brought us a teapot & tea bags since we don't drink coffee. She was also a wealth of information about restaurants & things to do in the area. She was a very lovely person. Our room was more than adequate-two queen-size beds, dresser, microwave & refrigerator. The bath was modern and up-to-date. Everything was decorated in the Adirondack motif. The best part of the room was the balcony overlooking Fourth Lake. What a tranquil & serene place! Thank you for providing such a fantastic getaway.

I appreciate this corporation for their response, while never expecting or asking for a refund

But once you step into the place, you are pleasantly surprised that this does not appear to be your typical La Quinta. They have a shuttle to the casino if you desire to lose money. The staff at night when we arrived were not overly friendly, but the staff in the morning more than made up for it. The continental breakfast and coffee we're halfway decent. The room was surprisingly quiet given the number of long-term construction workers staying here. As with other hotels with long-term construction work or staying there, there is way too much secondhand smoke as you walk into the building, as there is an area to the left of the entrance.

They also rent sleds, do repairs, offer long-term storage, and have ethanol-free fuel on-site. They are located directly on the trail. Quick story: I lost the brakes on my Polaris sled and couldn't find parts anywhere. They found the parts, stopped what they were doing to make the repair, and saved my trip!
