Buying our first home, me and my spouse at the time went through this company.
I am sure not all their employees are like this (I hope not...), but the employee who helped us finalize our paperwork (and assist with the refinance once we split) was Jessica Patterson. She seems like such a sweet, helpful girl at first, but she turns out to be overemotional and unprofessional the more you work with her. I announced to her via phone call that we decided to end our relationship, and how to go about getting my name off the mortgage (my now-ex decided it would be him who keeps the house if we split, and I was ok with that), and she explained how to get off the mortgage. She started the paperwork. Well, ANYtime I had a question (not very often), I would text her or call her, and she would say, "I cannot disclose any information with you, because you are no longer my client." ... umm, actually, yes I am. My name is STILL on the mortgage (this company also likes to take their marry sweet time with things, and NOT keep you updated) and at the time, I was even still helping my now-ex make payments toward the property, even though I was no longer living there. But "I was no longer her client, so she couldn't help me." It even got to the point where she would occasionally snap at me for asking her questions. One time, I asked her a question, and she didn't answer it (she did that often too), so I texted her the same question again, and she replied with, "You need to understand how busy I am, I can't always respond to everything right away." Okay? Sorry. What she SHOULD have said was, "Sorry I didn't get back to you immediately, I have been very busy with other appointments, so please bear with me if it takes a little while to respond." But did she? No. She is a little too overemotional for this job, I think. My now-ex even told me that he and Jessica were discussing how I should pay the closing cost because *I'm* the one who initiated the break up. My ex may be a lot of things, but he is no liar, and regardless if I should or shouldn't be responsible for paying the final closing cost on the refinance is absolutely none of her business to discuss. As I stated, try this company if you want, but forwarning you... Jessica is a little too emotional and unprofessional for me. I have never had someone tell me in the beginning "Let me know if you have ANY questions!" and then turn around and get angry for asking questions. read more
