Came into this place with 8 guys after dinner on a Wednesday night and the place was empty. We…read moredecided to hang out anyways and went straight to the back of the pub for some pictures in the cave section (a little offshoot of the pub that's encased in stone) and to play some foosball. We ordered a round of beers and the female bartender working that sent along some free shots as a welcome to Italy. Awesome. A few guys went home after midnight but 6 of us stayed out and played some darts and drank some more. After each beer round we ordered, the female bartender (I wish I could remember her name!) would concoct some crazy shot for us to take on the house. Ranging from ones with jam on the bottom, absinthe on top, and a few fire shots. Even when on of our friends unintentionally decided to take an hour nap on the couch in the bar she was still extremely happy and giving us more free drinks with each order we placed. We kept playing darts through the night and even got to take some fun pictures with some headgear she had hidden behind the bar. Can't say what the place is like on the weekends or any other bartenders, but even with the slow Wednesday night, the female bartender was awesome and we'll definitely be back next time we're in Rome.

But apparently, at least in Rome, one needs to go to a specialty store to buy some good brew. Beer Time is a great little such store, with an impressive selection of beers from Italy, rest of Europe and some oversea names too (none of which starts with Bud). A great find, especially considering I was staying in a location far away from local tourist spots. Alessio and any of the knowledgeable people working there will answer any questions you may have about their beer selection.
