    16" pepperoni pizza
    Richard S.

We ordered two 16" pizzas, pepperoni and pepperoni with bacon, hot wings and a Philly cheesesteak sandwich. The pizzas in my opinion were very good. Thin crust and we even asked to make it crispy. Sauce has good flavor ingredients were good my kind of pizza! Wings were good also, my son and I enjoyed them. The Philly cheesesteak sandwich was for my wife and daughter who are somewhat picky on the Philly cheesesteak they eat. I took a bite just to try it , the bread was toasted with a light crisp yet it was soft and pillowy, a plus in my book. They must have enjoyed it cuz by the time I ate my slice of pizza the sandwich was gone! The place was very clean which is nice if you decide to eat there. I will be trying the lasagna or spaghetti next time and maybe the chicken parmigiana for my wife. Give this place a try you might like or love it or might not but you won't know unless you try it. We did lol

Visit July 2026…read more Ironically I was in NYC last week and ate at a deli there. That visit was a so-so experience and made me miss Beyer Deli so ta-dah! Still incredibly huge sandwiches. Hefty enough that half will fill me and I'm fat. The torta bread is the way to go for your sandwiches and yeah I know it's not a NYC thing but ewwww I had stale white bread with my NYC meal. I don't get here often but it looks like the menu has expanded with smoothies, pasta, and iced coffees. Still incredibly amazing prices (seriously the price for a pastrami sandwich at the NYC deli was twice the price here). Still the MOST INCREDIBLE AMAZING WELCOMING service you will ever experience. Dina, the owner who runs the front, makes you feel like you've pulled up a chair at her own kitchen. Loves to talk and gets to know you. I'm always a fan of seeing a restaurant acknowledge their regulars it just makes such a positive vibe and Dina welcomes them by name so tells you how often they frequent. Still located in a tiny business mall and if it weren't for the red on the sign you might miss it. Still cash only. Still the safest place on the planet as it is frequented by every form of law enforcement possible from BP, SDPD, CVPD, to the MIB (seeing if you're still with me). Its great that they support and receive support from first responders. If you want a satisfying deli experience stop by. I suggest....well everything.

The last time I visited this business, it was still called Los Pollos Rotisserie and Cuban Bakery…read more That shows you how long it has been because House of Cuban Flavor has been the name for more than a few years now under the same ownership. It's located in one of the middle suites between an auto parts store and a supermarket in an Otay strip mall of Chula Vista. Parking was plentiful as there were way more spaces in the lot than customers even at peak hours. There were a few tables placed on the sidewalk in front of the suite, but no seating was available inside. The coffee making station was to the right when you walked in. To the left of the service counter were glass displays containing the baked goods and desserts. Four small menu boards hung behind the counter. From left to right, the category on each board was Sandwiches, Cuban Specialties, Plates & Combos, and Bowls. Several trays in the display case were empty during my afternoon visit. The cashier ensured me that nothing was sold out. Items that were not displayed still could be ordered and made fresh by the kitchen. The Cuban Specialties were broken down further into Stuffed Potato Balls, Empanadas, and Pastries. Each offering cost $2.45 regardless of its composition. That was disappointing because I have encountered similar bakeries in which there were similar choices for less than $2 apiece. My order started with one of each of the potato balls (meat, spicy chicken, jalapeno & cheese) including a variety that wasn't listed (spicy pork). These were fried and then placed inside a cardboard takeout container. Each of the four had a slightly different color and/or texture to distinguish them from each other. The size was slightly smaller than a tennis ball. The meat filling was my favorite because it had the least heat as the other three contained noticeable spiciness. I also bought a meat empanada, a guava pastry, and a mango & cheese pastry. The pastry dough was light and flaky. The portion size was less impressive for $2.45. I recall when some of these were sold for one dollar less so the value has decreased over time. The fruit flavor of the guava and mango respectively was sweet but not over the top. For this recent experience at House of Cuban Flavor, I gave a 3.5 star rating.

I've been twice to the new location including its soft opening weekend. I would skip the somewhat overpriced spam musubi. It tasted good but it wasn't life-changing, which I sort of expected for the price. The couple times I went, I found the tables to be sticky so I'd watch out for that as well if you're dining in. The fruit sandos are good if that's your thing. I always find them to be too rich with all the cream and this place was no exception. I've tried all the savory sandos on the menu though, and they're solid. You really can't go wrong. The bobas are pretty good but don't compete with the elite boba shops like 3cat or momofuku. The corn hojicha is what I liked the most out of everything I've tried. Finally, service is average to above average. The person behind the register is usually a disinterested teenagers or 20-something employee but an older guy in the back, presumably a manager, tries hard to accommodate customer requests. So hats off to him.

Lets talk about the vibes first...amazing decor and vibes, decor and walls and atmosphere is very cool and unique I truly love it so much. The staff is very nice, offering suggestions on drinks with big smiles and welcoming energy. Now the drinks and food: the drink I got last time was an iced mocha (no picture but I remember it was very good). This time I went with my mom and we both got the "Moon" drink.. a Chai/Matcha which was such a good drink, I want like a 40oz of it to take with me home for the week. I also ordered the pesto turkey sandwhich to share and I can not express how good this was. Perfectly crispy, juicy and fresh. Took the first bite and literally gasped because not only was the bread toasted to perfection but the veggies and turkey were so flavorful. The veggies and pesto and turkey were also layered in a way that made every bite delectable and that to me is art. Loved it, want more of it and I WILL be back to try more drinks and sandwhiches.

I actually brought one home for my husband to try as well, and without me even saying anything, he wasn't a fan of it either. I also have to say that when I first walked into the location, I didn't really feel a warm or welcoming vibe. I was hoping to have a better first experience, but unfortunately, between the drink and the overall experience, I don't think I'll be back. Maybe I just need to try something different, but for now, this one just wasn't a hit for us.

I literally told my sister "oooh a deli, I want a torta after" and then I headed into Bellus. As I was walking in the owner of this deli confronted me telling me not to park there and I let him know I had just been dropped off and wouldn't be taking up any of his parking and he continued "the car, the car" so persistently I had to just about yell at him that she left and we weren't parked there. Mind you his establishment was completely empty at the time. Not that it would be an excuse if we did park there( which I would never do). Throughout my entire appointment I was thinking about how crazy he came at me and when I decided to mention it to the esthetician student doing my facial she mentioned she had ordered some tostilocos from him the day prior that came with apple on them (unusual) and that the cueritos on them were mushy and when she asked for her money back on them he had an attitude about it, which I believe given what I saw from him today. On my way out I stopped to let him know that I was a potential customer and he totally deterred me from patronizing his business.
