The food served here was a pleasant surprise. Upon walking in, the place seems more college bar with kitschy Caribbean vibe. A little dust, a small spider web here or there... But then there's the super tasty food! Yum! We love comfort seafood, which they serve up in spades. Looking forward to returning, so I can try other menu items.

When we walked in I almost walked right out, but I'm glad in the end I stayed. There's a funky old bar/cigarette smell lingering in the air, but once we sat and I looked around I was kind of into the beachy/tropic vibes that the place gives off. Service was very attentive, however it's May 2021, and none of them were wearing masks. If this is something that you are rightfully concerned about, I definitely would not attend until after the mask mandate is over! They had a wide variety of different domestic beers, and they made a variety of frozen drinks. I had a strawberry daiquiri, and it was really good! Both my husband and I had a burger. The burgers were huge! I really enjoyed my locals burger, my husband had the Mac and pulled pork burger, but he didn't enjoy it as much. We both got sides of shoestring french fries, but I wish I had gotten one of the other specialty french fries to compare. My husband was frustrated because the burgers were so big and messy, but no one brought us any silverware or napkins! Beyond that, the service was attentive. Overall, it's a unique little spot in Wooster. I'd be interested in going back, but not sure my husband would be. Lots of people inside seemed to know one another & the atmosphere is definitely unique.

This place constantly serves up the best food. The atmosphere feels like a beach bar in Florida but the food feels like a 5 star restaurant. We go here often and the food and price are fantastic. We will keep coming back for sure!

I have eaten here hundreds of times and it has never disappointed us. Their truffle fries are fantastic. My favorite dish is the Boursin Philly cheesesteak salad.

Tried the tacos on the server's recommendation. Watermellon-coffe pulled pork and Philly cheese steak tacos were both amazing! Also enjoyed the she-crab soup. Will definitely be back to try orher menu items! Neat beach atmosphere too.

Very satisfied with the taste is the food. That's the saving grace here. The interior of the place looks like it's seen better days and the smell.... not foul, but not new. Best way to describe the place, eclectic and full of spirit. I was a bit skeptical upon walking in the place. I thought "damn Yelp- this was a mistake". The place was utterly devoid of customers, yet had lots of workers coming and going. Least I think they were workers. I ignored my urge to leave and glad that I did. I ordered the shrimp and grits. Wife ordered a burger. Then in what seemed like 5 minutes, the food came out, piping hot! Wow, that was fast, I thought. The shrimp and grits were absolutely delicious! Silky, salty, spicy, smoky, cheesy and so comforting. Best I've ever had, by far. I would eat that again any day. Only real negative was they ran out of the beer on tap that I was drinking. The waitress was super friendly and understanding. And she discounted the beer because of it. For the food, we'd definitely come back. But the establishment needs a little work to clean it up.

American style bistros. They're good, and that's why they're EVERYWHERE. But you're going to get the same ol' things - potato skins, devils on horseback, fried things, carbs, carbs, carbs. Mix it up once in awhile. Live a little on the wild side. TRY SOMETHING DIFFERENT. The place to do that is Flamingo Jack's. Formerly a food truck, this brick and mortar location is where the Market Grille used to be. It's not a huge location, but it is configured in a really smart way to maximize the space. The decor isn't incredible, but the food, drinks, and service totally compensate for that. (As do some of the plans. We'll get to that later.) The wife and I visited on a Saturday for appetizers before our smokin' hot dinner date. In hindsight, the food we got at FJ's was way more enjoyable than the fancy expensive place that followed. We sat at the bar, and being early in the day, we were one of the few customers in the place. As expected, we got a lot of attention, and food and drinks came our way fast. We were totally the priority, and not treated like a burden or nuisance. The craft brew selection is really good - while they don't have hundreds and hundreds of beers to choose from, the ones that are available were selected very wisely and are really good. I settled on a draft from Jackie O's, which totally made my day. On the bar, there are large drink containers which feature FJ's version of well drinks. One was an infused berry vodka that looked amazing. The other was a pink lemonade punch type of concoction, which my wife got. It was smooth, refreshing, and not overly fruity, sour, or alcoholic. It was well balanced, and delightful to drink. It was a perfect summer sipper for those who don't like beer. (And, really good on a day with a -15 wind chill, too!) The menu is filled with a lot of creative choices, especially in the entrees section. I'm leery of places that have dozens of ingredients in their dishes, (maybe it's my aversion to that national "chef" who is unwillingly driving people to "Flavortown." That guy's recipe for boiling water contains no fewer than 21 ingredients.), Anyhow... The additional ingredients in FJ's food are all intentional and play a role. Like the Pork watermelon tacos: That texture from the watermelon-cucumber pico is awesome. The fried risotto is amazing, as were the sweet potato fries with marshmallow dipping sauce. I've heard rave reviews of their She-Crab soup. I can't wait to try more at FJ's! Our server told us that there were plans to improve the back patio into a functional area in time for the summer. Pairing that kind of environment with great food and drinks is a welcome, welcome addition to Wooster.

Denise is the flamingo kid she kicked ass tonight and we said her name right lol D nice. The tacos were delicious they were half-price on Tuesday my friend Mississippi really enjoyed them and he had the IPA great lakes beer if he would've had to it would've hammered him. I am out of practice the place has great lighting in great music I will come back for sure.

The place smells like cigarettes and the burgers are dry. Server was friendly, but that doesn't make up for the food!

It's a big restaurant off of a country road with plenty of parking. As of two weeks ago they were doing work on the highway that was kind of unpleasant with grated roads and lane closures but it looks like it will be done soon maybe.... Anyway, it's a large space with a gift shop and shabby chic decor that all appeared to be for sale since everything has a price tag on it even in the restaurant. The service was pleasant enough. The menu has fairly straightforward cafe like offerings of sandwiches and salads. I wanted something light so I opted for the cesar salad in spite of my reservations when it said tomatoes and olives were on it. Weird but whatever chicken, lettuce, croutons and cesar dressing still felt on brand so I went for it. This is not a cesar salad. It was a salad with balsamic dressing of some kind, toasted bread with the crust cut off and a cold chicken breast. And, it comes with bread but I was told they didn't have rye so I ended up with sourdough that was also not sourdough and the waitperson didn't bring it until I was mostly through eating my refrigerator cold chicken. Just, yikes. Additionally, I still don't know how there was rye for my sister's sandwich but I wasn't allowed to order it with my food. As for her lunch, the pastrami was fine but with a lackluster amount of meat. The French onion soup was the only thing that felt reasonable with quality and price. All in all, I think the snack bars or even grocery stores in the area/ Amish country appeared to have better offerings. I wouldn't recommend this place for lunch. The gift shop was cute and reasonably priced so maybe check it out for that but that's it.

We arrived 1530, as they open at 1500 believe we were the only people in the house besides staff. Blake was our server. Must say that he did a terrific job taking care of us. There was a couple moments where it seemed like the bar service was holding him back, but we did not down check him for that. We decided on cocktails, a pickletini for me and mom ordered a tropical paradise. We also ordered an appetizer of spinach, artichoke dip at the same time. Blake brought our appetizer and apologized that our bar order was not ready yet. In fact, we were over halfway through our appetizer before our drinks arrived. Not Blake's fault, but the bartender was not doing him any favors. For our main course, mom decided on soup and salad, their seafood bisque and bistro salad. My wife decided on the lemon chicken with a Caesar salad while I decided on the petite filet Oscar style with loaded mashed potatoes. I ordered a glass of Austin Hope Cabernet Sauvignon to go with my steak. It took a while for our dinner to come out of the kitchen, that said it was well presented and perfectly cooked! My steak was a perfect medium rare and I was happy that there was asparagus with my Oscar Style! My wife really enjoyed her lemon chicken and sautéed vegetables. I tried bites of both and they were absolutely delicious! My mom raved about all of the seafood in the bisque. She also ate all of the salad which surprise us. We are happy to set in the far dining room at a four top. We really enjoyed the paintings on the wall as well as the staged photograph of The Restaurant. Must say that this was our best dining experience at this restaurant! Blake was a good part of it, but the food was as well. Keep up the great work!
