Flamingo beach resort is a nice stay. There are not a lot of bells and whistles but it is comfortable. Located right on the beach is a plus! There is one restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The rooms are large and you can buy food and cook if preferred. Everyone that assisted me was friendly and helpful. read more

We used our time share points for a weeks stay and we really enjoyed the resort. Our ocean front room and the crashing waves kept us in dream land every night when we went to sleep. They have security walking around in the evening to keep us safe while we slept but we never had any suspicion of any high crime on the island. read more

This is a bit of a mixed review. Overall, if you're looking for a quality location and a nice room - would recommend! They do have an on-site restaurant, The Pelican Grill, that was delicious. However, I wasn't as enthused with the level of service at the restaurant compared to the rest of the hotel. For example, the restaurant is advertised to close at 9 but when I tried to order food at 8:15, I was informed that the kitchen closes at 8pm. Disclaimer: this may have been impacted due to me traveling during the off-peak season. Other than that snafu I loved my stay here. The studio is quite spacious and can easily sleep 3-4 people (pull Out couch). As others have mentioned, the beach access is kind of small but I didn't have any issues getting a chair that was wonderfully covered from the times that I needed a break from the sun. The water access is not shallow but was calm, so if you have little ones you could enjoy but would just have to keep an eye. Also seems to be in a good location to both the airport and to hot spots on your visit. I'd definitely stay here if I come back to SXM! read more

Love my stay in a ocean view studio room. The staff are so nice and the room and bed are clean. The beach is awesome. Two groceries in walk distance. One is 2 mins away on foot. The other is 15 mins away on foot. The bus stop is about 15 away on foot(near where the grocery store is) and the bus is only 1.5 or 2 dollars to the airport. Feel your stress melt away! This is probably our 4th stay here at Flamingo Beach Resort. We have always found it to be great....but this time we are over the moon delighted. From the "Welcome home..." at check in (and this great staff truly DOES make you feel "at home"), to the post-Irma attention to detail in the renovations...WOW! THE STAFF: Hmmm. Where do I begin. Gracious. Accommodating. Neat in appearance. Friendly. Always a pleasant greeting and quick to cater to any requests. From the office, to security, to the guys that put out chairs or meticulously groom the sand on the beach...everyone is hard working, conscientious and gracious. Due to COVID there is currently no daily maid service (just like everywhere these days), but ask for anything you need and ye shall receive -quickly and with a smile. THE LOCATION: A great location and beyond fabulous accommodations. Simpson Bay is the perfect location for options...close to the airport, Maho Beach-Sunset Beach Bar, water sports, boats, casinos, piano bar, fully stocked grocery/liquor store, a variety of restaurants and a few shops! Who could ask for more. Bay at Flamingo is gentle lapping waves and beaches scattered with a smattering of cool shells and rocks! I went to the marina shop and bought an inexpensive inflatable raft which they graciously inflated! Floating paradise! THE PROPERTY: I cannot overstate what a great job was done on post-Irma renovations! Stunning. Rooms are spacious with brand new EVERYTHING! Fully stocked kitchen. Brand new furnishings. Comfortable beds! Like stepping into a brand new home!! Outward appearance is also fresh & vibrant! Overall summary...I am already planning my return. I travel A LOT and this is far and away my favorite Caribbean destination! Kudos to the management & staff for providing such a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere! We LOVED this resort!! We highly recommend it. One of the BEST was Richie at Serenity massage. We are Hilton Honors diamond and HGVC Elite Premiere now Centum members. We have been members for 11 yrs. Lovation is GREAT to restaurants, dance, casinos, and the aqua, marine dinner cruise is outstanding. Don't do the one that doesn't have the dinner. It's not worth it and they don't play dance music. BUT pool, games and activities, 2 hot tubs, views and access to the beach are outstanding. You will not be disappointed staying here; many people switch to it. And get the #1 beach massage from RIcHIE Rt on the beach with Serenity Massage!! The best I've had and I get them every month in Atlanta, Georgia. You will not be disappointed staying here! Wonderful choice! We will be back...for the massage! read more

After completing our stay here at the Flamingo Beach Resort, I can now say we are very happy with the room and service we received here. The hotel staff was friendly and welcoming from start to finish. When you first walk into the lobby to check in, you are met with the fresh scent of coconuts in the air and smiling receptionists. The resort is spacious with a couple of private beaches and pools to lounge at. There is also a pool side bar with great happy hour specials on drinks. The views around the resort are stunning. It is so nice to wake up and literally be a few steps away from the beach. At night there is live music on the beach at the small bar/restaurant. This resort is located in a great spot near so many good restaurants, bars and a casino. One night we walked over to a restaurant called Isola that serves Italian food, and it was amazing! Some of the best food we had the island and great service to go with it. The resort offers plenty of parking if you opt for a rental car. It was so easy to get in and out throughout the day and night and find parking quickly. As for the room, I was surprised at how big it actually was compared to what I saw in some other reviews. We booked a king suite with a pull out couch. The room offers a full kitchen with stove, dishwasher, toaster, blender, and fridge. It also included dishes, silverware, pots and pans! It was fully loaded and ready for us. It was so nice to have the option to cook and prepare our own food if we opted to go to the grocery store and buy some food staples. The bed was so plush and cozy; I wish I could pack it up with me and take it home. Across from the pullout sofa couch, there was a dining table that seats four people and and an additional table out on the patio. Another cool feature was the room divider which would have allowed us to share the room with friends and still maintain privacy. I will greatly miss the walk in shower which had enough space for me dance and sing with bashing my head on the tile walls. I cannot wait to come back for my next vacation and I will definitely consider booking at the Flamingo Beach Resort again. read more
