The first time I came to Sorrento was a few years ago now and I really enjoyed the evening and food. I thought the staff were amazing and was impressed with this little restaurant. However, I recently went a few weeks ago around Mothers Day. When I telephoned on the Wednesday to make a reservation for Saturday I found the man on the other end of the phone to be a bit abrupt. He advised me that the only slot they had was for 6pm, just after they open and added "if you want any later then you'll have to go somewhere else". To me, it sounded quite like I was inconveniencing him for making a booking at their restaurant. The food I ordered was fine, starter was better than the main course, but it wasn't as good as I'd expected and felt a bit disappointed as I remembered it being better the time begore. Even though I didn't feel particularly welcome to make a booking, I'd still recommend trying to make a reservation to avoid being turned away as this restaurant does get full pretty quickly. I think I'd return again just to see if next time I enjoy the experience a bit more, if next time I feel it's any better then I'll amend my review and leave it with 4 stars.

Mine was delicious with fresh ingredients on a lovely, thin base. My partner said his Hawaiian was "very good". We had a bottle of prosecco with our meal and had a lovely time. Price is reasonable, your looking at about £15 exaggerate per head for a stater, shared pizza and wine, and they even give you free olives in garlic and lemon sauce for free as soon as you sit down. There seem to be a few rogue waiters just adding huge service charges onto the bills to bump up their income hoping customers don't notice or just saying it's standard practice which it is not - its theft and very bad for a restaurants image. Trading standards need to look into this as it's very bad practice to lie To paying customers and trick them like this. I have seen so many complaints on Google reviews and trip advisor about this and it doesn't seem to phase the management of the restaurant at all. All customers who paid these high service charges need to be refunded and compensated for this!! This restaurant should be shut down for this!
