My single shot was perfect down to the exact amount of crema and smooth finish. I stopped by thinking it was simply a coffee/espresso bar but found much more. In talking to my family who are new to the area and are great cooks, I found they were already well aware and are making use of their services, including special orders for their work. This is a destination to seek out, not simply a neighborhood spot. I'd drive across the city to get what they're offering here. That good. Very highly recommended.

Hugo stepped in and helped since our primary server was busy. He did an amazing job and made sure our experience was top notch. I started with the wicket looking for a spicy and sweet cocktail. It was ok, the garlic chili oil was a bit strong and took over the rest of the flavors. I wanted wine with the meal and Hugo went above and beyond. He brought out 3 recommendations with healthy sampler pours as well as the bottle to take pictures if I liked one of them. His choice of the riesling was spot on. It was not too sweet as I asked and had some earthy notes to it. He had the lamb kati and curry and chips for an appetizer. The lamb kati was outstanding. The ground lamb was cooked perfect with a hint of spice and flavored very well. We got chicken on the curry and chips. That was also very good, my only feedback was the chicken although flavored well was just a touch dry (would probably do the ground lamb next time). For diner we both had the lamb entree with a side of basmati rice and naan. The entree was outstanding, the lamb had a nice salt and pepper crust with great flavors. The naan was soo good, I called them elephant ears because of the size. They were flavored so good. We did not let a drop of the rogan josh sauce got to waste. Even though full we tried a bite of their deconstructed cheesecake type dessert. It was refreshing and lightly sweet. A tasty bite. Great experience, great food and even better service.

When I was in Calgary to check out Banff, we decided to stop by Calcutta Cricket Club to try out…read morethe Indian cuisine within the city. We came during lunch time and there was quite a bit of space, so we were able to be seated quickly. The interior of the restaurant is nicely decorated, with an ambience that would be good for hosting events. For the food we decided to order the Chili Chicken, a Kati Roll with Lamb Keema, and chicken. I think that the food here was flavored well and I especially enjoyed the Kati Roll as the paratha was really crispy. The portions are a bit on the smaller side though, especially for the price of each dish. Overall, I think it's a nice restaurant to have Indian food at if you're visiting Calgary.

We happened to arrive during their "happy hour" so we got some "linner" prices. Hubs ordered the house special tossed noodle. He liked it cuz he felt it was authentic. He liked the fried garlic that added an extra kick. I had the bbq roast duck noodle soup cuz I was wanting some comfort food. I was impressed with the roast duck that was not fatty and the little bit of onion helped accent the flavor of the soup. Hubs especially the duck sauce which he thought was strong but once you get used to it he said it brought out the flavor of the duck. The service and ambiance was your typical chinese restaurant. Nothing great, nothing bad, nothing to be expected. I would definitely come back if I was in the area and craving chinese food.

We ordered the seekh kabob, Karahi Chicken with tandoori roti and naan, raita, and Chicken biryani. And wow, everything was delicious, just out of the world type of delicious!! After the dinner, we requested chai and kheer, and no surprise again, full of taste, every bite and sip reminded us of home (Pakistan), what impressed me most was that thr chai was served properly hot where its fully enjoyable! Loved everything, great experience! Also, there was just one person serving that night. All the tables were taken downstairs and a few upstairs as well. She was so organized and efficient, and she really made our visit just that much special! We really hope the restaurant fully recognizes and appreciates her excellent service. Enjoy Faisal Kabob Hut!

We came for lunch with our family, including three young children. Before ordering, I specifically…read moretold the server that the food for the children must not be spicy. The staff could also clearly see that we had small children with us. We ordered three platters. Two of the platters were combined together, and the quantity did not appear equivalent to two full separate platters. More importantly, all of the chicken came spicy despite my clear request. As a result, the children could not eat their meal. My seven-year-old was extremely hungry and tried eating some chicken while repeatedly drinking water because of how spicy it was. The younger children could essentially only eat some rice, which was also very dry. We then ordered an additional plate and gave the restaurant another opportunity, but that chicken was also spicy, so we returned it. What made the experience much worse was the response when I complained. Instead of apologizing or trying to resolve the problem, the staff became argumentative and defensive. I was told, "This is Pakistani cuisine; our food is spicy." I was then told that I could have ordered fries. When I explained that their own server had told us fries were unavailable, I was actually told that I should have taken my children to McDonald's. That response to a customer who had specifically requested non-spicy food for small children was completely inappropriate. I asked to speak with the owner or person responsible and was refused. They removed only the additional returned plate but still insisted that I pay for the children's platter even though it had not been prepared according to the request they accepted and the children could not eat it. We came to a restaurant expecting to feed our family. Instead, I left having to find somewhere else to feed my children, while still being required to pay for the meal. Mistakes can happen in any restaurant. What determines the quality of a business is how it handles the mistake. Unfortunately, instead of an apology and reasonable solution, we received arguing, blame and disrespect. There will not be a next visit.
