Our recent trip to Portugal was wonderful, and much of that was thanks to the exceptional planning, attention to detail, and care that went into every aspect of our itinerary. Our group included our family of 10: my husband and me, our 40-something daughters and their husbands, and four grandkids, ranging in age from 9-15. As you can imagine, planning for and traveling with a multi-generational group can be complicated, but everything came together beautifully. I am so amazed with the service that David has provided me this week! I was supposed to go to French Polynesia yesterday but with the cases of Covid skyrocketing there the government has started to place restrictions (a curfew and Sunday shutdown) and the CDC upgraded the Covid travel advisory for French Polynesia from 3 to 4 (don't go there!). It is highly likely that more restrictions and even possibly a border closure are on the horizon since their case numbers are showing no signs of slowing down. So after a couple months of excitement and anticipation I decided to cancel my trip 4 days before I was supposed to go to French Polynesia. It was definitely the right thing to do but I was left still wanting to have a vacation. I had planned my trip to French Polynesia and figured that I could whip up another trip....Boy was I wrong. I couldn't decide where to go and when I did decide on the Virgin Islands my eyes crossed and my head was spinning when I was looking for accommodations. There were very few options available at such sort notice and I got overwhelmed and really stressed about trying to plan another trip. Here is where David comes in. A friend told me a while ago that she had a fantastic travel agent so I contacted her and ask for his number. I called David and told him what happened and that I wanted to go on a trip asap, probably the Virgin Islands. He suggested Mexico and I poo pooed that said that I wasn't interested. In my mind I was picturing beaches with waves and my favorite beaches are calm waters where snorkeling is possible. So David checked into the Virgin Islands and let me know that there was hardly any availability for accommodations, like I already had found too! Then he again mentioned Mexico but suggested Cancun/Mayan Riviera/Cozumel. And I thought COZUMEL!!!!! YES!!!!!! I had not even thought of that part of Mexico and Cozumel has the PERFECT calm beaches for me and tons of beautiful snorkeling!! He guided me to EXACTLY the perfect place for me!! So David gives me a bunch of hotels/resorts to pick from, all gorgeous, and I pick a resort. But it doesn't end there. I had travel credit with United from my cancelled French Polynesia plane ticket and he looked up and found the flight I needed for my dates even though I had to book it with my travel credit. I asked him for suggestions for excursions and he sent me some GREAT suggestions and, even though he gets a commission when I book them online, he suggested for one that I wait to book until I get there because there will be more options from Cozumel since I have to take the ferry to Cancun for this particular excursion. He also worked REALLY hard to find me an affordable pickup at the airport/ride back to the airport the day I leave the island. He found a few at first but let me know that they were more costly than they should be and he didn't stop until he found a reasonable priced one. Again, he was watching out for MY finances and even though I would have had no clue about the expected cost of this transportation, he did know and kept at it until he found reasonably priced transport for me! What a great experience this has been with David! I am so drained from the planning/excitement/worry about covid in French Polynesia/debating about cancelling/then ultimately cancelling a vacation I have been dreaming of for a few months that I simply could not plan another one. David took all the planning off my plate at a time when I really needed the help! David figuring out just where I should go and planning it all has been an absolute dream! I KNOW I will use his services again. He is kind, honest, knowledgable, and stops at nothing to get his clients just what they need for the perfect vacation. THANK YOU DAVID!!!!! First of all, THANK YOU, David, for making my last minute vacation happen! I was about to start a new job in three weeks and I decided that I wanted to take advantage of that time. I usually research and book my own travel but this time, I wanted some help. My friend highly recommended David so I thought I'd at least get David's opinion. The Jackson Family Reunion 2022 partnered with Flair Travel to host our biennial family reunion for 200 people in Montego Bay, Jamaica at the Royalton Blue Waters. Our family hails from the entire United States -- West Coast to the East Coast so organizing a comprehensive package including air, hotel accommodations and airport transfers internationally took almost TWO years in planning and was NO EASY FEAT! David understood that with a group of our reunion size that we needed an all-inclusive resort with plenty of on-site ENTERTAINMENT that did not break the BUDGET. I called him about 2 pm, told him I was under pressure to make all arrangements by the next morning, and he got reservations for flights, hotel, and rental car within an hour and a half, all by phone. Wowee, done. The worst thing in the world is a cross-country move with pets, but even worse is trying to do so during a worldwide pandemic, knowing you'll need to stay in some of the red zone states. By the end of the move out day, I was absolutely destroyed -- it was 105 degrees and I had gotten injured and because we didn't know when the load out would be done, we weren't able to secure a hotel for the night, since we weren't sure how much time we'd be able to put on the road. Enter Flair Travel -- as we were leaving town, I called David and he instantly began researching our planned route. When we were sure how far we would be going on Day 1, we texted the city and he booked us a pet-friendly room on the first floor next to an outer door for ease with our dogs -- and made sure that the business was practicing safe COVID precautions too. When we arrived, mega late, our check in was a breeze, since the desk clerk had already talked to David personally and knew exactly what we needed. I didn't think VIP treatment was a thing at a budget-friendly hotel, but wow, what a difference! And each stop was the same -- David even gave us customized take out restaurant tips along the route that were exquisite (Gates BBQ for the win in Kansas City!) I've traveled a LOT (was Hilton Platinum at one point) but the difference using Flair was palpable. If you're looking at Yelp reviews, you already know that it costs you NOTHING to use a licensed travel agent, so just go with the best -- Flair has my business forever! read more
